Below is President Osmani’s full statement: Today we remember Gjergj Kastrioti – Skënderbeu, the great unifier of the Albanians and the guide and director towards civilizing values and civilization, to which we belong for millennia. The Albanians saw in him not only their national hero and the defender of their homeland but also the great national strategist, who knew how to establish and maintain new alliances and renew old ones, create civil and military institutions and lay the foundations of Albanian diplomacy, but above all, to nurture in everyone the love for Arbëria and for the values of his own people. To this day, he remains a model of the military strategist and the political sage, a seasoned diplomat and the custodian and reinforcer of the foundations of the homeland. His name is eternal and the memory of his glory is endless!
President Osmani commemorated the 26th anniversary of the fall of the hero Luan Haradinaj
The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani commemorated today the 26th anniversary of the falling of the hero Luan Haradinaj. Below is President Osmani’s full statement: Luan Haradinaj gained eternity 26 years ago, by defending his homeland, sacrificing himself for freedom and the Republic. On May 6th 1997, Luan was killed by the forces of the Serbian genocidal regime, on his last journey to Albania. His journey was interrupted, but not his dream of the generational ideal. Therefore, Luan and freedom were and are one! He, together with his family, proved dedication, bravery, courage and extraordinary contribution to freedom, independence and state building! Luani and all the martyrs of the Republic give meaning to our freedom, our state and the future of generations. May the memory of Luan and all the martyrs of the KLA be eternal!
President Osmani commemorated academician Fehmi Agani on the 24th anniversary of his assassination
On the 24th anniversary of his assassination, the President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani commemorated academician Fehmi Agani. Below is President Osmani’s full statement : Today we respectfully remember the academician Fehmi Agani, the emblematic figure of the movement for the freedom of Kosovo, the man who combined his dedication to knowledge and education with political activity, being the right hand of the historic president, Dr. Ibrahim Rugova, with whom he engaged until his last breath in fulfilling the ideal of an independent Kosovo state. On May 6th, 1999, on the eve of freedom, the visionary and unifier, academician Agani was brutally assassinated by the forces of the Serbian genocidal regime. His vision and legacy for Kosovo will be an inspiration for generations. The memory of academician Aganin will be permanent, and bringing the perpetrators of the crime to justice is our constant commitment!
President Osmani meets with King Charles III and other world leaders at the reception organized by the King
In a reception organized by King Charles III of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, met with other leaders from different countries, including King Charles III, to whom she extended the warmest wishes of the people of Kosovo. “Tonight at the reception organized by King Charles III of the United Kingdom, I extended the warmest wishes of the people of Kosovo, and I had the opportunity to talk with other leaders about the expansion of our relations with amicable countries around the world”, said President Osmani. At the invitation of King Charles III, President Osmani, accompanied by the First Gentleman Prindon Sadriu, is currently in London attending the King’s Coronation ceremony.

President Osmani in the United Kingdom to attend the Coronation of King Charles III
At the invitation of King Charles III of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani accompanied by the First Gentleman Prindon Sadriu, will represent the Republic of Kosovo at the King’s Coronation ceremony. Prior to the Coronation ceremony, President Osmani will attend today, May 5th, the reception organized by King Charles III and members of the Royal Family for world leaders at Buckingham Palace. On May 6th, President Osmani and the First Gentleman, along with heads of state from all over the world, will attend the official coronation ceremony of King Charles III at Westminster Abbey, and will at the same time convey the felicitations of the people and institutions of the Republic and reaffirm the unwavering commitment of our state to further expansion of bilateral relations and cooperation with the United Kingdom. The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani Sadriu commemorated the martyrs of Bukosh on the 24th anniversary of their assassination. President Osmani’s full statement: 24 years ago, Serbian forces rounded 25 young Albanian men and boys in the schoolyard in Bukosh and brutally assassinated them. Their killing was part of the well-known Serbian strategy of evicting Albanians from their homes, forming columns, dividing groups of citizens and then killing and forcibly disappearing them. After separating them from the column, the Serbian forces brutally killed them, just because they were Albanians and wanted to live free in their own country. Serbian state bears the responsibility for the murder of 25 citizens of Bukosh, as it does for thousands of other killings of the citizens of Kosovo. Serbia must accept responsibility so that the war criminals who perpetrated the killings of thousands of Kosovo Albanian citizens during the war, are brought to justice. President Osmani received the Head of the UNFPA office in Kosovo Dr. Visare Mujko- Nimani
The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received today the Head of the UNFPA office in Kosovo Dr. Visare Mujko-Nimani whom she congratulated for the activities that this organization has undertaken in Kosovo since 1999, promotion of reproductive rights and compiling demographic analyses. The possibilities of cooperation with UNFPA for the second edition of the Forum for Women, Peace and Security were discussed at the meeting, as well as engagements in marking the International Day of the Girl Child on October 11th.

Distinguished families from Studime and all of Vushtrri Honourable Speaker Konjufca, Honourable Mayor Idrizi Honourable Chairman Krasniqi, Honourable Members of Parliament, Honourable Village Mayor, Representatives of the families of martyrs, and KLA veterans, Honourable former Mayors y, Honourable representatives of the Organizations that emerged from the war, Dear guests, We have gathered here today to commemorate the 116 defenceless Albanian martyrs, who fell for our freedom; among them many children and many women, including pregnant mothers who, 24 years ago, in less than two hours were barbarically massacred by the Serbian genocidal regime. I am also here to share the pain with you and to tell you that the pain that you as a family experienced on that terrible day, but also on each subsequent day, is also the pain of all of Kosovo. 24 years ago, one of the most terrible and largest massacres of the war in Kosovo took place in your village, which clearly testified to the brutality and ferocity of the Serbian genocidal regime. Evidence shows that the massacre was organized in advance, by the political and murderous mechanisms of the Serbian regime. Many of the civilian victims were executed from close range and in cold blood, by machine guns or bayonets. Today, we must remember the innocent lives that were taken through violence and be close to the families who lost their loved ones. Today, we must also remember the courage and resilience of those who survived and who bore witness every day to the dark days. The study, but also every place where massacres were carried out by the Serbian genocidal regime throughout Kosovo, demonstrated the power of resurrection, resilience and renewal. Today we live with the pain of all those who fell victim to the freedom of Kosovo, but we also live with their testament, the Independent Republic of Kosovo. In the foundations of our state lies the heroic sacrifice of the girls and boys of the Kosovo Liberation Army, all those who fought together with over 3 thousand martyrs who fell for freedom. We are forever grateful to every soldier of our Kosovo Liberation Army for the freedom we enjoy today. They defended dignity, restored hope and made freedom a reality. The Republic of Kosovo bears their seal, so our unrelenting effort is to bring the perpetrators of Serbian crimes to justice in addition to remembering all the fallen. Dear participants Historical memory will be in function of respecting our past, documenting it, as well as building a sustainable future. What happened in Studime 24 years ago, is a strong argument that history cannot be rewritten and that in 1998/99, the historic facts were clear. Our people were killed just because they were Albanians. They were killed in their homes, in their lands, in the lands of their ancestors. Therefore today, like never before, we must say clearly and emphatically that Serbia committed genocide in Kosovo and that lasting and long-term peace is possible only when the perpetrators are brought to justice and when the fate of over 1,600 disappeared by violence and when all those who commit these monstrous crimes pay for their crimes. We must never forget the history lessons as we must not forget the atrocities committed during the war. We will always honour the memory of our heroes and martyrs, all the victims of war crimes because our war was just, it was for freedom, it was for the state, for which whole generations contributed. The scars of atrocities like the one that took place in Studime remain engraved in our collective memory, bringing to our attention the high price of freedom. Studime is a symbol of the barbarity of Serbian crimes, of policemen who separated children from their mothers’ laps and massacred pregnant women, but Studime is also a symbol of survival, a symbol of pride for those who fell for this land, it is a symbol of our resurrection as a nation. We have an obligation to keep the memory of Studime and all the massacres all over Kosovo alive as a clear testimony of the difficult journey we went through. Thanks to our KLA liberation war, the martyrs and all the victims who were martyred, today we live safe and free lives in the state of Kosovo. May the memory for them is eternal! Glory be to them!
The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, commemorated the Massacre in Shtuticë, Verboc and the villages around Drenas
24 years since the Massacre in Shtutica, Verboc and the surrounding villages of Drenas, in which 275 children, old men, women and men were executed by the Serbian genocidal regime. They were killed just because they were Albanians, in their lands and just because they wanted freedom. Today, the memory for them is a call for justice, as for all other massacres committed throughout Kosovo. On that fateful day, it was the KLA soldiers led by the hero Ilaz Kodra, who defended the civilian population. 40 of them gained eternity by becoming the sacrifice of our freedom. Glory to the KLA martyrs and eternal memory for the civilians killed in the massacre in Shtutica, Verboc and the villages around Drenas!
