The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, in continuation of activities at the NATO Parliamentary Assembly session in the US, was a speaker at the panel on Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic integration and peace and security in the Western Balkans. President Osmani wrote: In continuation of activities at the NATO Parliamentary Assembly session in the US, today I had the honour to be a speaker at the panel on Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic integration and peace and security in the Western Balkans. Our reforms and investment in the field of defense and security are positioning Kosovo as a partner among countries that share the same values of freedom and security. With the support of our strategic ally, the United States of America, and other allies as well, we are strengthening the foundations of a safer, more stable region committed to democratic values.

President Osmani met with the U.S. Congressional Delegation

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, held a meeting with the U.S. Congressional Delegation in Dayton. The delegation was led by Congressman Michael Turner, head of the U.S. Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. The delegation also included Congressmen Brett Guthrie, Linda Sánchez and Joe Wilson. President Osmani expressed her profound gratitude to the United States as a strategic ally of Kosovo. She emphasized the importance of further strengthening bilateral relations, expanding cooperation in the field of defense, as well as the potential for deepening economic cooperation and increasing U.S. investments in Kosovo. During the meeting, she informed the congressmen of the security developments in Kosovo and the region, as well as Kosovo’s contribution to sustainable peace and stability.

President Osmani has departed on an official visit to the United States of America

At the invitation of the U.S. Congress, President Osmani has traveled to participate in the events organized within the framework of the spring session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, which this year is being held in Dayton, USA. This year’s session also marks the 30th anniversary of the Dayton Peace Accord for Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the entire event will be dedicated to efforts for peace and security in the Western Balkans. Presidents of other countries of the region, as well as senior NATO, EU, and U.S. representatives, are also participating in this important event. President Osmani’s agenda consists of a series of activities, including speeches at the main dinner and panels, as well as meetings with participating delegations.

At the invitation of the President of the Swiss Confederation, the First Gentleman of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Prindon Sadriu, accompanied the President of the Republic, Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu, during the historic state visit to Switzerland

Mr. Sadriu participated in all protocolar activities held during the two days of the visit, including the ceremonial state reception at the Bundesplatz in Bern, the reception held at the Lohn Manor residence where he, together with President Osmani-Sadriu and the Swiss presidential couple, signed in the special guest book, as well as the state banquet and the official dinner. During the first day, Mr. Sadriu also made a separate visit with his Swiss counterpart, Dr. Morten Keller, to the Institute of Medical Research at the Cantonal Hospital of Bern. This institute represents an important research center in the field of medicine and technological innovation, with a focus on developing solutions to global public health challenges. During the visit, the two counterparts were informed about the projects that contribute to the improvement of health systems through advanced research and international cooperation. On the second day, First Gentleman participated in all official activities held in the Thurgau, St. Gallen and Geneva cantons, together with President Osmani-Sadriu. Mr. Sadriu also held talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland, Mr. Ignazio Cassis, as well as with other members of the Federal Council and members of our diaspora in Switzerland. Key issues of strengthening the partnership between the two countries were discussed at these meetings. This state visit highlighted the strong ties between Kosovo and Switzerland, opening new horizons for sustainable cooperation in the future.
