11 new interns at the Presidency

According to President Osmani, peace is not just the silencing of weapons, but the will to live together. Expressing Kosovo’s determination to contribute to Euro-Atlantic security, President Osmani emphasized that Kosovo has already allocated 2% of GDP for defense, with the aim of doubling this in the coming years. “We are ready to do our part. Now it is NATO’s turn to open its doors,” emphasized President Osmani.

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, who is staying in the US at the invitation of the US Congress, to participate in the spring session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, delivered a speech at the dinner organized by the US Congress and the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. In her address to senior Congressional leaders and representatives of NATO member countries, President Osmani emphasized that peace is not inherited, but is continuously build, nourished and defended. “Today I represent a free and sovereign Kosovo, a land that was once devastated by war, but that now speaks the language of peace, hope and gratitude. US and NATO allied soldiers came to Kosovo not seeking glory, but because they believed in the fundamental right of every human being to live free from oppression”, said President Osmani. According to President Osmani: “At the most fragile moments, they offered us shelter not only for our homes, but also for our dreams. Because of them, the children of Kosovo finally sleep safely. Because of then, a state rose from the ashes”. In this context, President Osmani said that the American soldiers who came in uniform and stood firm will always have a home in Kosovo.
