Today we painfully remember the Dubravë Prison Massacre, one of the most horrific massacres committed by the genocidal Serbian regime during the war in Kosovo. In May 1999, within the walls of the Dubravë prison, a macabre crime took place: for five consecutive days, the genocidal Serbian regime cruelly killed 120 Albanian prisoners of war and political prisoners and injured 300 others. They were killed only because they acted for the right to live freely on their land. Instead of being defended, they became the target of a systematic crime, a crime that today, 26 years later, still demands justice. Dubravë remains an open wound in our collective memory, but also an indelible testament to the brutality of the genocidal Serbian state towards the Albanians of Kosovo. Eternal honor to the fallen of Dubravë! Justice for the victims and eternal historical memory!
