The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received today the Minister of Defense of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Ms. Yuriko Backes.
During the meeting, President Osmani expressed deep gratitude for the contribution of the Luxembourg Armed Forces within the framework of the KFOR mission, highly appreciating the commitment of this country in promoting peace and security throughout the region.
The President also reiterated her gratitude for Luxembourg’s support to the Office of the President in fulfilling common strategic objectives, as well as for the President’s initiatives in various areas of common interest.
The President stressed the importance of deepening cooperation in the field of defense between Kosovo and Luxembourg, as an essential component for strengthening regional security and developing joint capacities.
She also appreciated Luxembourg’s continued support through development projects in Kosovo. In this context, President Osmani underlined the strategic importance of Luxembourg’s continued support for Kosovo’s membership process in Euro-Atlantic institutions and international organizations, emphasizing the shared democratic values and the role that Kosovo plays as a sustainable factor of stability in the region.
