The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, held a working dinner last night with the KFOR Commander, Major General Enrico Barduani, with whom she discussed the latest security developments in our country. In the continuation of regular meetings with the KFOR Commander, as well as on the eve of the conclusion of his mandate, President Osmani expressed her gratitude for his and KFOR soldiers’ continued engagements to maintaining peace and security in Kosovo in cooperation with the security institutions in Kosovo. She reiterated the importance of continuing close cooperation between our security institutions and KFOR, as a guarantee for the stability and security of all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo.
On the first day of school, President Osmani visited the school for children with special needs, the “Përparimi” Center

President Osmani received the credentials of the new Ambassador of Finland to Kosovo, Eevamari Laaksonen
The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received today the credentials of the new Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to Kosovo, Ms. Eevamari Laaksonen. On this occasion, Madam President congratulated the Ambassador on her new assignment and expressed her belief that during her mandate, the excellent relations between the two countries will be further expanded. President Osmani praised Finland as an important partner of Kosovo, reiterating her gratitude for the continuous support that this country has provided to our country’s Euro-Atlantic journey. In this spirit, Madam President recalled her official visit to Finland, which she described as an important moment in bilateral relations and as concrete evidence of friendship and mutual respect between the two countries, underlining the commitment to strengthening cooperation in areas of common interest. During the meeting, the latest developments in Kosovo were also discussed, as well as opportunities for further deepening of the partnership between Kosovo and Finland.
President Osmani received the Speaker of the Assembly, Mr. Dimal Basha
The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received today, in his capacity, the newly elected Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Mr. Dimal Basha. At the meeting, Speaker Basha presented his position regarding the constitution of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo. On the other hand, President Osmani informed President Basha that the legal team of the Presidency is conducting an analysis regarding the process of the constitution of the Assembly of Kosovo. Madam President emphasized that, as always, she will act in full compliance with the Constitution and the laws in force, guaranteeing institutional stability and respecting the will of the citizens of Kosovo.

Behind every number is a life cut short, a family that has been waiting for justice for their loved ones for more than two decades. The open graves are living evidence of war crimes and repeated crimes by the Serbian genocidal regime, as well as a daily reminder that justice has not yet been served. As long as thousands of our citizens remain missing, peace remains incomplete. The Vucic regime continues to sleep on mass graves, holding hostage the unraveling of the fate of the missing. It is time for international partners to increase pressure on Serbia, because only the clarification of the fate of the missing and justice can bring to the families the peace they deserve.
President Osmani received the new United Nations Development Coordinator in Kosovo, Mr. Stephen O’Malley
The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received today the new United Nations Development Coordinator in Kosovo, Mr. Stephen O’Malley. On this occasion, President Osmani congratulated Mr. O’Malley on his new tenure, wishing him success throughout his mandate. President Osmani expressed her gratitude for the work of the United Nations Agencies present in the Republic of Kosovo, which, in cooperation with local institutions, have contributed to the achievement of common objectives. These objectives include projects to strengthen human rights, with special emphasis on persons with special needs, gender equality, the Women, Peace and Security Agenda, sustainable economic development, as well as other important areas.
President Osmani received the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities, Christophe Kamp
The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received yesterday the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities, Christophe Kamp. During the meeting, President Osmani emphasized that Kosovo has the most advanced system of human rights protection in all of Europe and remains committed to guaranteeing the rights of all citizens, regardless of ethnicity, religion, or other affiliation. Madam President emphasized that through the Consultative Council for Communities, the Presidency is working every day with representatives of all non-majority communities to address their concerns and find concrete solutions. She reiterated her commitment to further empowering all citizens of the Republic and advancing the highest democratic standards. In this spirit, Madam President underlined that inclusiveness, built on mutual respect, equality and fundamental freedoms, remains a priority, while emphasizing that diversity is a value of our society. She recalled that the Constitution of Kosovo, based on the most advanced democratic standards, provides powerful mechanisms for the protection of the cultural, linguistic and religious identity of communities, making Kosovo an example of inclusive democracy. President Osmani and Mr. Kamp also discussed the importance of continuing cooperation between Kosovo institutions and the OSCE, through various programs aimed at strengthening democracy, human rights and the rule of law, for which Kosovo is showing continuous progress.
President Osmani commemorates the anniversary of the historic visit of US senators to Prishtina
On August 29th, 1990, thousands of citizens from all over Kosovo, in the center of Prishtina chanted “Freedom… freedom!” and “USA… USA!” in the face of Milosevic’s oppressive regime. The delegation of US senators, led by Bob Dole, saw the violence with their own eyes and made our truth known to the world. 35 years later, Kosovo is a free and independent state. This is also due to the support of the United States, which has remained our guide and constant ally since then. May God bless Kosovo! May God bless the USA!
