On August 29th, 1990, thousands of citizens from all over Kosovo, in the center of Prishtina chanted “Freedom… freedom!” and “USA… USA!” in the face of Milosevic’s oppressive regime. The delegation of US senators, led by Bob Dole, saw the violence with their own eyes and made our truth known to the world.
35 years later, Kosovo is a free and independent state. This is also due to the support of the United States, which has remained our guide and constant ally since then.
