President Jahjaga met with the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Nawaz Sharif
President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, met today in London with the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Nawaz Sharif, whom she thanked for the recognition of the independence of Kosovo by Pakistan. She praised the help which Pakistan has provided in various time periods to Kosovo, through its participation in international missions in Kosovo and through the support of Kosovo’s state building process.

Madam President also added that Kosovo’s participation at the World Islamic Economic Forum is an opportunity to exchange experiences with all participating countries and to establish direct relations in common interest in economic development and investments.

President Jahjaga is currently attending the 9th Islamic World Economic Forum, being held in London, which will be discussing the issues of cooperation in the field of economy and technology, as well as the advancement of the role of women in society. The Forum is being attended by a large number of senior personalities from the Islamic world, inclusive of the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Prime Minister of Pakistan, The King of Jordan and the Sultan of Brunei.
