President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, received today at a meeting the European Integrations Minister, Ms. Vlora Çitaku.
Minister Çitaku informed President Jahjaga with the proceedings of the first meeting of the negotiation on the Stabilisation Association Agreement with the European Union and the schedule of negotiation meetings, process expected to conclude by spring next year. Madam Minister emphasized that as far as the technical aspect is concerned, institutions and the administration is fully dedicated to the successful conclusion of this process.
Minister Çitaku also informed Madam President on the engagements towards fulfilment of short term priorities which stem from the European Commission’s Feasibility Study and predetermined criteria on visa liberalisation process.
President Jahjaga emphasized that initiation of negotiations on Stabilisation Association Agreement is an important step ahead in Kosovo’s path towards its membership into European Union, and that this process is a priority of the Republic of Kosovo. European agenda unifies all citizens of Kosovo, regardless, added President Jahjaga.
