The President of the Republic of Kosovo and First Gentleman Prindon Sadriu received today, on a working visit, the President of Hungary, Tamás Sulyok, accompanied by the First Lady, Zsuzsanna Nagy. After the meeting, the President wrote: Today, for the first time, the President of Hungary, Tamás Sulyok, held a working visit to Kosovo, accompanied by the First Lady, Zsuzsanna Nagy. Prindon and I welcomed them to the Presidency and expressed our ambition for the cooperation between our two countries to grow in all directions. In the bilateral meeting with President Sulyok, I reiterated that Hungary’s support for the lifting of the EU’s unjust measures is essential. The Euro-Atlantic integration of our country is to the benefit of all our citizens, the region, and the entire European continent.
President Osmani: A day full of energy, creativity and inspiration in Gjilan!

I congratulated Mayor Alban Hyseni on his second mandate and we spoke about projects that will give the city greater development and new opportunities. Together, we spent unforgettable moments at the School of Music and Visual Arts, with some inspiring performances by the ‘Muza’ Women’s Choir, as well as among the youngest and sweetest, at the IP “Integj” kindergarten. We also heard about the successes of the InterPLAST TROCAL company, as a leader in the region and an excellent example of good work, innovation and vision that move our country forward. We also visited the “Drita” football club, whom I congratulated on their results at the national level, and especially in the European competitions, making us all proud with their success there. President Osmani received in a meeting the Ambassador of France to Kosovo, Mr. Olivier Guérot
The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received today in a meeting the Ambassador of the French Republic to Kosovo, Mr. Olivier Guérot. The discussion focused on the latest developments in the country, as well as preparations for the early national elections to be held on 28 December. The President highlighted the importance of ensuring a smooth electoral process and upholding the highest democratic standards, an area in which Kosovo has already demonstrated exemplary practice. The meeting also addressed the assumption of duties by the newly elected mayors of Kosovo’s municipalities, including those in the north, a process completed today. President Osmani stressed the urgency of lifting the EU measures, which she emphasized remain in force without any justification and continue to harm the interests of all citizens. Furthermore, President Osmani reaffirmed the Republic of Kosovo’s commitment to strengthening the bilateral partnership between Kosovo and France. Additional matters of mutual interest were also discussed during the meeting.

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received today in a meeting the Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC), Mr. Kreshnik Radoniqi During the meeting, Chairman Radoniqi briefed President Osmani on the progress of preparations for the early elections scheduled for 28 December 2025, as well as on the organizational duties currently being undertaken by the CEC. President Osmani emphasized the importance of guaranteeing a proper, transparent and inclusive electoral process, and reaffirmed the institutional commitment to support every step that upholds the integrity and credibility of the elections.

President Osmani received the Ambassador of the United Kingdom, Jonathan Hargreaves
The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received today the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Kosovo, Jonathan Hargreaves. The latest developments in the country, as well as the early election process on December 28 were discussed in the meeting. The President reiterated the importance of these elections being held according to the highest democratic standards, in which Kosovo has already set an example. Additionally, concrete steps towards the finalization of the President’s initiative to conclude strategic agreements with the United Kingdom in areas of common interest, namely defence, security, and economy and trade, which were agreed upon during the visit of the British Foreign Secretary to Kosovo in April this year were also discussed in the meeting. Further, she also expressed her gratitude for the continued British support for Kosovo and its citizens.
President Osmani awards the activists for the Rights of Persons with Special Needs on Their International Day
On the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has reached a decision to award the Presidential Medal of Merit to a group of activists who, through their tireless commitment, have contributed in an extraordinary manner to the empowerment, protection of the rights and dignified inclusion of this category in our society. This year’s awardees are: Halit Ferizi (post mortem), Agim Vatovci (post mortem), Sabrije Zeqa (post mortem), Merita Voca (post mortem), Mexhid Foniqi (post mortem) and Hiljminijeta Apuk. These activists, through their public advocacy, field work and continuous protection of the rights of persons with special needs, have influenced the increase in social awareness, the advancement of public policies and inclusion. Their contribution is an example of civic commitment and values, which President Osmani constantly affirms. The medals awarded will be bestowed at a special awards ceremony to be held at the end of December 2025.
