The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, will represent the Republic of Kosovo at this year’s European Political Community (EPC) Leaders’ Summit in Copenhagen, Denmark, which brings together 45 European leaders, including officials from EU institutions. Ahead of the summit, President Osmani will be formally received by Their Majesties, the King and Queen of Denmark. During the proceedings, she will participate in both key sessions of the Summit. President Osmani will also take part in a roundtable addressing Europe’s main security challenges, including the rise of hybrid threats and unprecedented provocations by Russia against NATO member states. In this context, European leaders will explore ways to leverage political momentum to make essential decisions, including enhancing defensive preparedness. As part of the summit, President Osmani will hold bilateral meetings with attending European leaders. The European Political Community (EPC) serves as a platform for European leaders to discuss the continent’s most pressing issues. Established in 2022, the EPC aims to reinforce political and economic ties across Europe, provide solutions to common challenges, and strengthen cooperation between EU and non-EU countries.

At the invitation of the First Lady of the United States, Mrs. Melania Trump, Mr. Sadriu attended an exclusive gathering for first ladies and gentlemen from countries around the world attending the UNGA 80 sessions. During this event, he accepted an invitation for the Republic of Kosovo to join the global initiative “Fostering the Future Together”, spearheaded by Mrs. Trump, with meetings scheduled to take place early next year. The initiative aims to enhance children’s well-being by promoting education, innovation and technology, with a strong emphasis on artificial intelligence. At the ceremony, Mr. Sadriu engaged with first ladies and gentlemen from both recognizing countries and those that do not recognize Kosovo, discussing various issues of mutual interest. During his visit to New York, Mr. Sadriu also held bilateral meetings with counterparts, including the First Lady of the Republic of Turkey, Mrs. Emine Erdoğan, and the First Gentleman of the Republic of Slovenia, Mr. Aleš Musar. These discussions focused on matters of common interest and underscored the significance of their roles in supporting the agendas of their respective heads of state.
