President Osmani met with High Representative Kaja Kallas; following the announcement of the partial lifting of the measures, I reiterated the necessity of their full removal

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, during her stay in Brussels, met with the High Representative Kaja Kallas. President Osmani wrote: In Brussels, I thanked High Representative Kaja Kallas for her continued support for Kosovo’s European integration. Following the announcement of the partial lifting of the measures, I reiterated the necessity of their complete lifting, as all the conditions set by the European Union have now been fulfilled. We will continue to work closely with Ms. Kallas and all our partners until these measures are fully lifted.

Madam President at the meeting with President of the European Council, Costa: We welcome the EU decision to partially lift the measures, while we hope and strive to have them lifted in full as soon as possible

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, during her stay in Brussels met with the President of the European Council, António Costa. President Osmani wrote: In Brussels, I was welcomed by the President of the European Council, António Costa. We welcome the EU decision to partially lift the measures, while we hope and strive to have them lifted in full as soon as possible. The Republic of Kosovo has demonstrated constructiveness, cooperation and full compliance with the foreign and security policy of the European Union. At the meeting, I emphasized that Kosovo has fulfilled all the conditions set by the EU itself, no matter how unfair they may be and therefore, there is no reason to hinder or delay the lifting of the remaining measures. On the other hand, we hope that as soon as possible, we will have the support of all member states so that Kosovo, based on its merits, obtains the status of candidate country for membership in the European Union.

President Osmani travels to Brussels, represents Kosovo at the EU-Western Balkans Leaders’ Summit

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has traveled to Brussels, where she will participate in the EU-Western Balkans Summit alongside leaders of EU member states and those from the Western Balkans. The Summit will discuss the partnership between the European Union and the Western Balkans, with a particular emphasis on the EU enlargement process and advancing the European perspective of the region. During the Summit, Madam President will meet with leaders of EU institutions and have the opportunity to discuss issues of interest to Kosovo with other participating leaders. The lifting of measures against Kosovo and moving forward on the path of integration will be a priority during the discussions. The Summit’s agenda also includes the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans, strengthening economic integration with the EU single market, as well as issues related to economic development, investment and reforms. The leaders will also discuss cooperation in the field of security and defense, including the common foreign and security policy, countering hybrid and cyber threats, as well as managing migration and common regional and European challenges.

Madam President: My fourth visit within a month to the municipalities of Kosovo was in Mitrovica

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, visited the municipality of Mitrovica today. President Osmani wrote: My fourth visit within a month to the municipalities of Kosovo was in Mitrovica. With Mayor Faton Peci, whom I congratulated on his new tenure, we had a day filled with meaningful meetings and positive energy. In the “Our Joy” Kindergarten, we saw up close the conditions and the dedication to our children, followed by the meeting with the athletes of the Trepça sport clubs, girls and boys who proudly represent the city. We concluded the visit at the “Maestro Food” business, an inspiring example with the majority of employed women, proof of the power of work and dedication to economic development.

Madam President: Kosovo remains committed to the strengthening of relations with the Holy See and advancing our historic friendship

We discussed the role of Kosovo, our Dardanian land, as a country that has built peace and interfaith harmony on its historical experience of endurance and sacrifice. We also discussed deepening cooperation in areas that directly affect the well-being of our citizens, with the hope that the Holy See will soon take the long-awaited decision to formally recognize the Republic of Kosovo. Kosovo remains committed to the strengthening of the relations with the Holy See and advancing our historic friendship, guided by the values that unite us. President Osmani is bestowed the Bonifacio VIII Prize in Anagni

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, was bestowed the Bonifacio VIII Prize last night in Anagni, the city of the Popes, by the Bonifacio Academy, in recognition of her institutional commitment to peace, as well as her continuous contribution to strengthening intercultural and interreligious cooperation. This esteemed recognition reflects the spirit and mission of the Bonifacio Academy, a prestigious institution that bases its activities on justice, human dignity and peace. The Bonifacio VIII Prize has previously been awarded to prominent world personalities, including His Holiness Pope John Paul II. On this occasion, President Osmani emphasized that this prize further reinforces her commitment to these universal and eternal values, which guide the vision and institutional action of the Republic of Kosovo in building peace, dialogue and understanding between nations.

On the 27th anniversary of the heroic fall of Mujë Krasniqi – Kapuçi, and his 41 fellow fighters of the Kosovo Liberation Army, we bow with the highest respect to the sacrifice that became the foundation of our freedom. They fell to rise in eternity, becoming the symbol of liberation. Mujë Krasniqi and his comrades chose honor over fear, homeland over life. We and the flag of the Republic of Kosovo, which today waves free, are indebted to tehri blood. Eternal glory to Mujë Krasniqi and the 41 martyrs of the KLA!
