The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received today in a meeting the Ambassador of the French Republic to Kosovo, Mr. Olivier Guérot.
The discussion focused on the latest developments in the country, as well as preparations for the early national elections to be held on 28 December. The President highlighted the importance of ensuring a smooth electoral process and upholding the highest democratic standards, an area in which Kosovo has already demonstrated exemplary practice. The meeting also addressed the assumption of duties by the newly elected mayors of Kosovo’s municipalities, including those in the north, a process completed today.
President Osmani stressed the urgency of lifting the EU measures, which she emphasized remain in force without any justification and continue to harm the interests of all citizens.
Furthermore, President Osmani reaffirmed the Republic of Kosovo’s commitment to strengthening the bilateral partnership between Kosovo and France. Additional matters of mutual interest were also discussed during the meeting.
