The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received today the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Kosovo, Jonathan Hargreaves.
The latest developments in the country, as well as the early election process on December 28 were discussed in the meeting. The President reiterated the importance of these elections being held according to the highest democratic standards, in which Kosovo has already set an example.
Additionally, concrete steps towards the finalization of the President’s initiative to conclude strategic agreements with the United Kingdom in areas of common interest, namely defence, security, and economy and trade, which were agreed upon during the visit of the British Foreign Secretary to Kosovo in April this year were also discussed in the meeting.
Further, she also expressed her gratitude for the continued British support for Kosovo and its citizens.
