President Osmani condoles the families of the accident victims in Greece and wishes a speedy recovery to the injured
The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osman reacted after the tragic accident in Greece where several people lost their lives and dozens more were injured as a result of a train collision in northern Greece.
The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani has commemorated the 25th anniversary of the massacre of Likoshan and Qirez, in Drenica
Below is President Osmani’s entire post: On February 28th, 1998, the police force of the Serbian genocidal regime assassinated 24 Albanians in Likoshan and Qirez, in Drenica. This day of horror marked the commencing of mass murders of Albanians by the Serbian genocidal regime, in the very heart of the resistance, in Drenica. This intensified our liberation struggle by the KLA boys and girls, who spared nothing for the country’s freedom. On the 25th anniversary of this massacre, the remembrance of the fallen never fades away. We will not stop until justice is served and the perpetrators receive the punishment they deserve. May the memory of those killed in the Likoshan and Qirez massacres be eternal!

Honourable President of the Olympic Committee Mr. Krasniqi, Honourable Deputy Minister Daulina Osmani, Honourable Excellencies, Ambassadors, Beloved athletes, Dear participants, It is an honour for me to be here at this ceremony tonight which honours the laureates of the year. Each of you here today is a testament to the power of hard work, determination and discipline. You are always raising the flag of our Republic higher and higher in every corner of the world and we are always grateful to you for making our country shine in many sports disciplines. Your victories aren’t just about winning medals or breaking records, although those are certainly impressive achievements. They also make an entire state shine and glow! But, most of all, it is about embodying the values of sport, perseverance and respect for oneself and competitors. Being a great athlete also means recognizing the role others play in our success. None of us achieves greatness alone. You have the support not only of coaches, families and friends but above all of your teams and fans as well. We owe it to those who are always striving for excellence and representing our sport with dignity and great pride. To our sports laureates, I want to say congratulations on your outstanding achievements! You have inspired us all with your talent, dedication and unwavering commitment to sport and to our country. You are an example for future generations, so you have always made us proud. I also want to remind you that your journey as an athlete is not over. You will have new challenges and new opportunities ahead. As you continue to pursue your passion, I urge you to never forget the values that have brought you this far. Continue the path forward. President Osmani has appointed a new CEC member
The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, in accordance with the constitutional and legal powers, has appointed today Mr. Alban Krasniqi as the new member of the Central Election Commission. Mr. Krasniqi is appointed in accordance with the proposal made by the Vetëvendosje Movement parliamentary group and in accordance with the legislation in force and will serve for the duration of the remaining mandate. At the swearing-in ceremony with the President, the new CEC member stated that he will perform his duties in an honest, loyal, impartial, professional, and conscientious manner.
President Osmani received the US ambassador Jeffrey Hovenier
The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received in a regular meeting the ambassador of the United States of America Jeffrey Hovenier, with whom she discussed the latest developments in the country and in the region. President Osmani and ambassador Hovenier also discussed the possibilities of comprehensive bilateral cooperation in areas of common interest, such as energy, security and other fields.
President Osmani presented an appreciation to the Kosovar Search and Rescue Association for their humanitarian action in Türkiye
The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received the Kosovo Search and Rescue Association today and expressed her gratitude for their voluntary contribution to the humanitarian operation in the Republic of Türkiye following the earthquakes that hit this country. At the meeting with the volunteers of this Association, President Osmani highly praised their contribution, stressing that they have meritoriously personified the solidary and humane spirit of all citizens of Kosovo.
President Osmani received the credentials of the newly appointed Japanese ambassador, Ryuta Mizuuchi
The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received the credentials of the new ambassador of Japan Ryuta Mizuuchi, who conveyed Emperor Naruhito’s felicitations for the 15th anniversary of independence. At the meeting with Ambassador Mizuuchi, President Osmani emphasized that Japan is a reliable ally and partner of Kosovo. President Osmani thanked Japan for the support to date, emphasizing the importance of this support as Kosovo continues its engagements for membership in international organizations. She highly appreciated the contribution of Japan and the support offered to Kosovo in the field of environmental protection, health, and media, as well as support for the youth through scholarships and education and advancement programs. A number of possibilities for the intensification of bilateral cooperation were discussed at the meeting. President Osmani emphasized that there is great potential for further investments by Japanese investors in areas such as renewable technologies, mountain tourism, infrastructure, education, information technology and other spheres of mutual interest. President Osmani emphasized that Japan has been and remains a friend and strategic ally of Kosovo and agreed with Ambassador Mizuuchi on the need for close coordination towards the opening of new chapters of cooperation.

The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received today the credentials of the new non-resident ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Yousaf Junaid, whom she congratulated for his appointment and expressed the hope bilateral relations will be further intensified during his mandate. President Osmani also spoke to ambassador Junaid about the expansion of economic cooperation and the potential for an increase of cooperation in other spheres of mutual interest. President Osmani thanked Pakistan for its support to Kosovo, particularly in the process of membership in international organizations, on which Ambassador Junaid confirmed his country’s support in this regard. In relation to the current political and security developments, President Osmani emphasized that the institutions of the Republic continue to be committed to sustainable peace and stability. President Osmani thanked Ambassador Junaid for the unreserved support that Pakistan has offered to Kosovo throughout all the important processes that Kosovo has gone through.
