President Osmani received the credentials of the newly appointed Japanese ambassador, Ryuta Mizuuchi

The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received the credentials of the new ambassador of Japan Ryuta Mizuuchi, who conveyed Emperor Naruhito’s felicitations for the 15th anniversary of independence.

At the meeting with Ambassador Mizuuchi, President Osmani emphasized that Japan is a reliable ally and partner of Kosovo.

President Osmani thanked Japan for the support to date, emphasizing the importance of this support as Kosovo continues its engagements for membership in international organizations.

She highly appreciated the contribution of Japan and the support offered to Kosovo in the field of environmental protection, health, and media, as well as support for the youth through scholarships and education and advancement programs.

A number of possibilities for the intensification of bilateral cooperation were discussed at the meeting. President Osmani emphasized that there is great potential for further investments by Japanese investors in areas such as renewable technologies, mountain tourism, infrastructure, education, information technology and other spheres of mutual interest.

President Osmani emphasized that Japan has been and remains a friend and strategic ally of Kosovo and agreed with Ambassador Mizuuchi on the need for close coordination towards the opening of new chapters of cooperation.
