President Osmani congratulated the Prime Minister of Estonia Kaja Kallas

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani congratulated the Prime Minister of the Republic of Estonia Kaja Kallas on her parliamentary election victory. “Congratulations to Prime Minister Kaja Kallas for yesterday’s victory! Your unwavering commitment to enduring peace in Europe & steadfast support for Ukraine are a shining example of leadership. You have shown that the pursuit of freedom, dignity & a stronger Europe should be uncompromising,” wrote President Osmani.

President Osmani’s address at the KSF Quadrant formation ceremony , in honour of the KLA Epopee

Honourable uncle Rifat, Honourable members of the legendary Jashari family, Honorable Speaker of the Assembly Mr. Konjufca, Honourable Prime Minister of the Republic Mr. Kurti, Honourable Minister Mehaj, Honourable Commander of the Security Force, Lieutenant General Jashari, Honourable ambassadors, representatives of diplomatic missions in our country, Honourable families of the martyrs, Honourable KLA veterans, Officers, non-commissioned officers and KSF soldiers, Honourable participants! Today we have gathered here to commemorate the 25th anniversary of an event that changed the course of history, an event that showed the world what a nation that loves and deserves freedom can achieve. Especially when at its head there are devout and brave patriots like the legendary commander Adem Jashari and his family, but also the KLA girls and boys whose bravery, determination and dedication, brought to reality our centuries-old dream of liberation and a state. They returned our dignity, they defended the thresholds of the house, they defended the honor and the centuries-old hearths, falling heroically and becoming eternal blazes of the Republic. The KLA epopee is not only a story of war and battle, but a story of endurance, perseverance and hope. It is a story of sacrifice, but also a story of triumph over the crimes caused by the genocidal Serbian regime. These men and women responded to the call for freedom, with bravery, courage and unwavering selflessness they fought to protect our home, Kosovo, and to ensure a better future for all of us. They were not just soldiers, they were and will always be heroes! This freedom and this state bear the seal of the legendary commander Adem Jashari, his family and the 3 thousand KLA martyrs and of the thousands of fighters we still have among us today. They are the embodiment of bravery and honor! Therefore, during the Epopee Days do not only remember those who gave their lives for our freedom, but also the bravery and courage of all our soldiers who fought without sparing anything to protect our nation and our country. The Republic of Kosovo is an independent state and will be so forever. Kosovo is their legacy, the present and the future of generations. The people of Kosovo united, fought, and came out victorious! Today, we are living in a time of global uncertainty, but we will take strength from our heroes, from their legacy, but also from the descendants of our liberation army, the daughters and sons of our army lined up today in honor of the heroes, and who are adequately representing the Republic with dignity all around the world. You are our guarantee, you are our pride! Honourable participants, Honourable Jashari family, Eternally honoring the legendary Jasharaj family, the historic Prekaz and all those who fell under the great banner of the KLA, we gain inspiration and inexhaustible energy to march forward in the unstoppable and unbreakable journey to realize their sacred ideal – preservation and protection of the territorial integrity and state sovereignty of our independent country. I am proud of each of our soldiers, because all of us together, guided by the memory and respect for our glorious history, side by side with our international allies, are building, developing and strengthening our capacities to be fully effective and contribute to the defense of values that unite us: peace, freedom and democracy in the country and everywhere around the world. Alongside the allied forces, we were and will be present in humanitarian missions, missions of peace and stability, in the near future of our Republic also under the NATO flag. Honourable participants The Epopee reminds us that anything is possible if we believe in ourselves and our cause, in our power and if we all work together, without divisions, towards a common goal. For this reason, we must continue to honour the memory of all those before us, inspire future generations and follow in their footsteps. On March 5, 6 and 7, 1998, Shaban Jashari, Adem, Hamza and every other member of the family, women, men and children showed heroism, stoicism and dedication, hence we owe to them and to every single fighter of the Kosovo Liberation Army eternal gratitude! We will honor their memory by preserving and nurturing the values for which they fought and fell. We will honor their memory by working together, being close to each other and fighting for the values we hold dear, such as our freedom and independence. To all fallen heroes, eternal gratitude! Thank you for your service, courage and sacrifice, to all our fighters! The memory of the heroes and the respect for the fighters will remain forever in the hearts and minds of all citizens of Kosovo, valuing and protecting our freedom and our Republic! God bless the Jashari family! God bless all our martyrs! May God bless our citizens and the Republic of Kosovo! Thank you!

The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, participated today at the KSF Quadrant Formation Ceremony, on the occasion of marking the KLA Epopee, held at the “Adem Jashari” Barracks in Prishtina. The President: Today and forever, we honor the bravery, determination and sacrifice of the legendary commander Adem Jashari and of the Jashari familyThe President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, participated today at the KSF Quadrant Formation Ceremony, on the occasion of marking the KLA Epopee, held at the “Adem Jashari” Barracks in Prishtina. President Osmani was accompanied at this ceremony by Rifat Jashari and other members of the Jashari family, the Speaker of the Assembly Glauk Konjufca, Prime Minister Albin Kurti, Deputy Prime Ministers, Ministers, Commander of the Security Force Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari as well as Members of the Assembly of Kosovo. “Today and forever, we honor the bravery, determination and sacrifice of the legendary commander Adem Jashari and of the Jashari family, the KLA daughters and sons and all those who sacrificed so that our centuries-old dream of freedom and state becomes a reality,” wrote the President Osmani.

President Osmani received a high-level delegation of US officials and businesses

The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received today a high-level delegation of officials of various US businesses (Partnership Opportunity Delegation-POD), organized by the Office of Global Partnerships of the US Department of State. At the meeting with the high-level US delegation, President Osmani discussed the potential of economic cooperation, the increase of American investments in Kosovo as well as the young and qualified workforce. Based on the companies’ interest in developments in the energy sector, President Osmani spoke about the fact that Kosovo is at an important moment in determining its energy future and enunciated the special focus on decarbonization. She emphasized the importance of diversification, as well as the massive integration of renewable energy sources, guaranteeing supply security and sustainable development of this sector. Furthermore, the many opportunities for projects which are of joint and geostrategic interest to Kosovo and the United States were also discussed at the meeting. In this regard, President Osmani spoke of the strong alliance with the United States, which is based on common values. Madam President pointed out that the concentration of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo in strengthening the rule of law, progress which is recognized internationally, is an indication of unwavering commitment to sustainable economic growth as well as the attraction of direct foreign investments. PODs are an initiative aimed at fostering deeper cooperation between the United States, strategically important countries, and the private sector. This initiative explores a wide range of possible partnerships aiming to collaborate on specific projects that advance common policy priorities.

President Osmani received the German ambassador Jörn Rohde

The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, received today the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany Jörn Rohde, with whom she discussed the developments in the dialogue process and the current situation in the country.
