The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received today the Ambassador of Sweden Jonas Westerlund, with whom she discussed the latest developments in the country.
During the meeting, President Osmani asked Sweden as the chairperson of the current EU Council Presidency, to support Kosovo’s application for its membership bid in the European Union.
President Osmani and Ambassador Westerlund also discussed the expansion of bilateral, commercial and economic cooperation.
In relation to the dialogue with Serbia, President Osmani emphasized that Kosovo has taken some difficult decisions in the spirit of constructive engagement. However, according to President Osmani, these decisions will contribute to peace and stability in the country and the region.
The two interlocutors also discussed the need to intensify cooperation in bettering the position of persons with special needs.
