The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received today the Vice President of the Republic of Bulgaria Iliana Iotova who is currently visiting our country to participate in marking the 15th anniversary of Kosovo’s independence.
President Osmani thanked Vice President Iotova for her participation in the celebration of the 15th anniversary of Kosovo’s independence and emphasized that Bulgaria has been an amicable and supportive country of Kosovo through many historic stages.
In this context, President Osmani thanked Vice President Iotova for the hospitality shown during her official visit to Bulgaria and expressed her continued commitment to the further expansion of interstate relations.
Developments in the field of security and dialogue with Serbia were also discussed at the meeting. President Osmani emphasized that a new political momentum has been created by the European proposal which is also supported by the USA. According to President Osmani, Kosovo is a constructive and contributing party for lasting peace and stability in the region.
President Osmani received the support of Vice President Iotova for Kosovo’s membership in the Council of Europe, and she asked that such support is also given to Kosovo in its membership bid in other international organizations. Deputy President Iotova confirmed Bulgaria’s support to Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic future.
