President Osmani was received in Iowa by Governor Kim Reynolds
At the invitation of the Governor of Iowa, President Osmani began her official visit to Iowa, United States of America. President Osmani and the First Gentleman Mr. Prindon Sadriu were received with a ceremonial reception by Governor of Iowa, Kim Reynolds and her First Gentleman Mr. Kevin Reynolds. The President expressed gratitude to the Governor for the warm reception and for her visit to Kosovo in June of this year. During the meeting, President Osmani emphasized that Kosovo has no better ally and friend than the United States of America, with which, according to her, they share the same values of democracy, human rights and international cooperation. President Osmani also highlighted the signing of the Iowa State Partnership Program some time ago as a crucial aspect of their strategic relations with the United States. “This program plays a vital role in our ongoing military development and capacity building efforts, in line with our national security objectives and aspirations for NATO membership,” emphasized President Osmani. Furthermore, President Osmani highlighted the need for substantial economic aid and development programs initiated by the United States to support Kosovo’s economic growth and stability. During the meeting with Governor Reynolds, they discussed about further student exchanges, scholarships and academic collaborations between the universities of Kosovo and Iowa, including exchanges in faculties, joint research projects and initiatives to build capacities in education. They also discussed the possibility of knowledge exchange, transfer of agricultural technology and cooperation in sustainable agricultural practices, where this cooperation aims to further improve economic relations with the state of Iowa. Minister of Agriculture Faton Peci is part of the President’s delegation to strengthen this cooperation. President Osmani, among other things, informed the Governor about the latest developments in Kosovo, following the act of aggression committed by Serbia in the Republic of Kosovo on September 24. According to President Osmani, Kosovo will continue to cooperate with its allies, while the perpetrators of the terrorist attack and the aggression against the Republic of Kosovo on September 24 must be brought to justice.
Kosovo President Osmani Is Visiting Iowa, United Stated of America
The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani Sadriu, has started her official visit to Iowa, United States of America. In addition to the official meeting with the Governor of Iowa, Kim Reynolds, President Osmani will also meet the Commander of the Iowa National Guard, Brigadier General Stephen E. Osborn. During her visit, President Osmani will visit Camp Dodge, the camp with a rich history that serves as a training center for the US Army divisions. President Osmani will also meet with the mayors of Des Moines, Norwalk, Fort Dodge, Council Bluffs, Johnston and Cedar Falls. President Osmani’s agenda includes a discussion at Drake University and a speech at DMACC. Furthermore, President Osmani will be the main speaker at the event led by Ambassador Branstad, President of the World Food Prize Foundation, where the World Food Prize is expected to be officially handed over. At the end of this visit, the President will meet Kosovo’s Diaspora in the USA.

President Osmani will represent the Republic of Kosovo at the United Nations Security Council meeting on Kosovo
The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani has departed to New York where she will represent the Republic of Kosovo at the United Nations Security Council regarding the periodic reporting on the developments in Kosovo. At this Security Council meeting, President Osmani will speak about the political and security developments in Kosovo, following the terrorist attack and the act of aggression of Serbia against Kosovo on September 24th. Among other things, President Osmani will also speak on the dedication of the Republic’s institutions for peace, security and long-term stability in the region, as well as the close cooperation with Kosovo’s allies and partners. Prior to the Security Council meeting, Madam President is expected to meet and coordinate with a number of the representatives of the allied countries. The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has expressed her condolences to the family, friends, the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Kosovo and the cultural community on the occasion of the passing away of the sculptor Luan Mulliqi. “With deep pain I received the news of the passing away of the sculptor Luan Mulliqi. His works of art will remain our legacy and his permanent heritage. He left behind a rich artistic fund of contemporary and national monumental sculptures. We will live forever with the memory of the outstanding sculptor. I convey my most sincere condolences to the family, friends, the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Kosovo and the cultural community!”states President Osmani’s consoling message.

The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, received yesterday the member of the Parliament of the United Kingdom Alicia Kearns, at the same time the chairperson of the Foreign Affairs Select Committee of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. Kearns is on a visit to Kosovo at the invitation of President Osmani. At the meeting, President Osmani expressed her appreciation and gratitude to the British MP Alicia Kearns for her extraordinary support to Kosovo and its people. She also expressed deep gratitude for her continuous commitment to raising awareness of the dangers and challenges faced by Kosovo and the entire Western Balkans. The meeting with MP Kearns focused on the political and security developments in Kosovo, following the terrorist attack and Serbia’s act of aggression against Kosovo, on September 24. President Osmani informed the British MP of the challenges that Kosovo is facing and emphasized the importance of unified international efforts to oppose such acts of terrorism and aggression in the function of not only the safety of the citizens of Kosovo but also regional stability and beyond. In this context, President Osmani emphasized that the investigations carried out so far by the local authorities, while the investigations by the international partners continue, prove that Serbia is behind the attack of September 24th in Banjska, Zveçan, and asked for punitive measures to be taken against Serbia. Furthermore, President Osmani said that MP Kearns has constantly shown her commitment to supporting Kosovo in its affirmation of the truth and thanked her on behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo. “Alicia Kearns MP is an outstanding advocate for Kosovo, and we expect that her commitment will be furthermore in the function of presenting the real situation here, relying on arguments and facts, as she always does,” emphasized President Osmani. The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, received yesterday in a farewell meeting the ambassador of Albania Qemal Minxhozi, whom she thanked for his engagement and wished him success in his future positions. On the occasion of the end of his mandate, President Osmani thanked Ambassador Minxhozi for his engagement throughout the years on the continuous advancement of relations between our two sister states. Madam President the cooperation, as well as the commitment of Ambassador Minxhozi to bring the citizens of our countries closer together. President Osmani stated that cooperation between Kosovo and Albania, especially in the unification of foreign policy, remains a priority, saying that the continuous strengthening of diplomatic coordination is in the interest not only of our countries but also of the region as a whole. In this spirit, the President also mentioned the need to continue the expansion of the economic cooperation between our two countries. The latest developments in the country and the region, as well as Serbia’s act of aggression against the Republic of Kosovo, were also discussed at the meeting, with President Osmani emphasizing the importance of Albania being our voice in all international instances where Kosovo still no representation. The President emphasized that the Albanians on both sides of the border have always been and continue to remain a factor of stability in the region, with a clear Euro-Atlantic orientation.
