President Osmani condoles the family on passing of Bajram Qerkini

It is with deep sorrow that we received the news of the passing of Bajram Qerkini, a man who with dedication and courage gave voice to the pain of thousands of families of forcibly disappeared by Serbian forces, during the recent war in Kosovo. As the chairman of the “Zëri i Prindërve” Association, Bajram was a symbol of resistance, justice and unwavering commitment to clarifying the fate of those forcibly disappeared during the war. For more than two decades, he lived with the pain of his missing son, never stopping in his search for the truth. Today, Kosovo lost a powerful voice in the cause of justice, but his legacy lives on. I express my sincere condolences to the Qerkini family, friends and all those who supported his battle for the forcibly disappeared. In these difficult moments for the family, I sympathize with you and encourage you to find strength in coping with the pain. May the memory of Bajram Qerkini be eternal!
President Osmani received at separate meetings the Chargé d’Affaires of the United States Embassy and the German and British Ambassadors to Kosovo
