The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, has received a congratulatory message from the Secretary General of La Francophonie Ms. Luise Mushikiwabo, on the occasion of the 17th anniversary of Kosovo’s declaration of Independence.
In her message, the Secretary General praised Kosovo’s contribution to La Francophonie community since its membership in the OIF in 2014, emphasizing that this membership enriches the cultural and linguistic diversity of the organization.
She reaffirmed her commitment to strengthening relations between the OIF and Kosovo institutions, following the 19th Francophonie Summit in Villers-Cotterêts.
The Secretary General underlined that the decisions taken during this summit, with a focus on youth, creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship, offer opportunities for deepening cooperation and improving the well-being of the Francophone population.
In this spirit, Ms. Mushikiwabo reiterated the OIF’s support for Kosovo’s efforts to promote the French language, further encouraging the country’s specific contribution within the framework of Francophone cooperation.
