Prindon Sadriu is the First Gentleman of the Republic of Kosovo. He serves as a career diplomat and a reservist in the Kosovo Security Force. Mr. Sadriu was born on 28 February 1980 in Gjilan, Republic of Kosovo. He obtained his undergraduate degree in International Relations from Flinders University in Adelaide, Australia. He pursued his postgraduate degree at the same institution, where he graduated in international relations with high honors.

Upon his return to Kosovo, he was granted a full scholarship to pursue a second postgraduate degree in Public Policy at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) Kosovo. In addition, he has completed the requirements for a doctoral degree in international diplomacy pending the defense of his dissertation. In 2009, he completed an executive studies program, focusing on public policy, organized by Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. Additionally, he received public policy education from l’ENA and Vienna Diplomatic Academy. He has authored many scientific publications in English, covering various aspects of international relations and international politics.

Prindon Sadriu belongs to the first generation of career diplomats at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Republic of Kosovo, serving initially as the Head of Bilateral Relations Directorate. He also led other portfolios at the Foreign Ministry related to international organizations, security affairs, and continental Europe, and for several years was the National Coordinator of Brdo-Brijuni Process and the V4+ (Visegrad Group Initiative). In previous roles, he served as Charge d’Affaires at the embassies of the Republic of Kosovo in Panama City, Panama, and in Skopje, North Macedonia. Currently, he serves as Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Skopje with the senior Foreign Service diplomatic rank of Minister Plenipotentiary.



Since 2011, Mr. Sadriu has served as part of the Kosovo Security Forces (KSF) Reserves Component, holding the military rank of Lieutenant-Colonel (OF-4). In that capacity, he also serves as an Advisor to the Commander of KSF Land Forces. He has a combined 19 years of military experience, both at the KSF and the Royal Australian Army, Armoured Corps. Prior to joining the Foreign Service in 2008, Mr. Sadriu worked as Foreign Relations Advisor to the Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Albania. He has also worked at the U.S. Congress in 2006.

Mr. Sadriu has also worked as lecturer of International Relations and Comparative Studies at RIT Kosovo, and as lecturer of International Relations subjects at the Southeast European University (SEEU) in Skopje. Furthermore, he has delivered thematic lectures and presentations at the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies in Germany and at ASPEN Institute Romania’s Young Leadership Program.

Alongside his professional endeavors, Mr. Sadriu is the Chair of the Kosovo Reserves Officers’ Association, a CIOR-related Association of KSF Reserves. In his capacity as the First Gentleman, he is also engaged in projects that aim to advance and promote Kosovo’s heritage at home and abroad, as well as advocacy projects for the empowerment of disadvantaged and marginalized groups in Kosovo.
