Prishtina, November 23 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, has received today Christian Hellbach, Director for Southeast Europe in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany.
This meeting focused on the relations between the two countries and on the opportunity to intensify them. The President has thanked Director Hellbach for the German support, not only in Foreign Policy, but also through the financial support in various sectors.
He said that Germany remains a very important partner of Kosovo on the Euro-Atlantic path. President Thaçi informed him about the changes that have started to be made in the amendment of the Criminal Code to further consolidate the rule of law in Kosovo.
On the other hand, Christian Hellbach, Director for Southeast Europe in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany, said that Germany will continue to support Kosovo in all fields.
Also topic of this meeting was the necessity of continuing the dialogue on the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia, but also the internal dialogue between the institutions and the Serb community.
President Thaçi also said that the Kosovo security institutions in the recent months have done an exceptional job in the prevention of the participation of young people in war zones, and in the prevention of a terrorist attack.
