Lipjan, March 18th 2024 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani visited the municipality of Lipjan today, during which she carried out a number of activities.
Initially, President Osmani was received by the Mayor of Lipjan, Imri Ahmeti.
President Osmani and Mayor Ahmeti also met the children in the kindergarten, the young men and women of this municipality, the businesses as well as the non-majority communities living in the municipality of Lipjan.
Meanwhile, in the statement to the media, President Osmani said that with Lipjan she is continuing with her visits to the municipalities of Kosovo.
“I am pleased to be received today by the mayor Imri Ahmeti, one of the mayors of whom I have known for more than 20 years and have cooperated with in different capacities. Hence from his work to date, I am convinced that the citizens of Lipjan have something to be proud of, and that the other projects, which Mayor Ahmeti informed me about today, will continue and will be completed successfully, “ said President Osmani.
President Osmani and Mayor Ahmeti discussed issues in various fields in the interest of the citizens of Lipjan
“There are different fields, which are of course of interest to the citizens of this municipality, which we discussed, from the field of education to the field of economic development, we discussed the importance of creating new opportunities, especially for the youth so that they should stay in Kosovo, develop their potential in Kosovo, realize their dreams in their professions within Kosovo and not see it as an opportunity to leave. This, of course, is related to the economic development of this municipality, which, as I mentioned earlier, is a municipality that has offered an extraordinary opportunity for businesses, there are over two thousand businesses operating here, some of which we will be visiting today during the day” emphasized President Osmani.
President Osmani and Mayor Ahmeti have discussed the possibilities for the attraction of foreign investors to the municipality of Lipjan.
“We also discussed the possibilities of how foreign investors would be able to invest, whether they be state or foreign direct investments in the municipality of Lipjan, and of course, because in the vast majority of my trips abroad I have communication with these states that are interested in expanding their commercial-economic cooperation with Kosovo, we will push forward some of the projects of the municipality of Lipjan, of course in full accordance, as you said, with the interests of the citizens,” stated Madam President.
