President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, based on Article 136, paragraph 3, of the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, Law Nr. 03/L-075, on Establishment of the Office of the Auditor General of Kosovo, Decree on Criteria and Procedures on Selection of the Candidate Proposed for the post of Auditor General at the Parliament of Kosovo, and taking into consideration the report of the Selection Commission for reviewing and evaluation of applications and interviewing of potential candidates for Auditor general, established by decision dated December 16th 2015, has proposed to the Parliament of the Republic of Kosovo Mr Besnik Osmani as a candidate for the post of Auditor General of the Republic of Kosovo.
The commission, consisting of representatives from the Presidency, Parliament, CBK, University of Prishtina and civil society, as well as observes from AG Union and the EU Office in Kosovo, after a transparent competitive process and after the interviews, has proposed three potential candidates to President Jahjaga for the post of the Auditor General.
