The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Madam Atifete Jahjaga sent a telegram of condolences to family Lumezi, on the passing away of their most beloved one, the doctor and the intellectual, Engjëll Lumezi.
In the telegram it is said:
Honored family Lumezi,
With deep sadness I received the news on the passing away of Dr. Engjëll Lumezi.
I share with you, honorable family, this great pain of the loss of the loved one, remembering with much respect the valuable work and contribution of Dr. Engjëll Lumezi, one of the first Albanian doctors in Prizren.
Dr. Engjëll Lumezi will be remembered for the extraordinary contribution he has given as a doctor, as a perennial lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, as co-founder of the Department and Institute of Physiology.
The passing away of Dr. Lumezi is a great loss not only for the family but also for the friends, collaborators and all those researchers who were fortunate enough to learn from him.
On behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, on behalf of the institutions and on my personal behalf, please accept the most sincere condolences.
