The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, received today a delegation of the Regional Assembly of Europe, part of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie, led by the Belgian senator Anne Lambelin. At the meeting, President Osmani reaffirmed Kosovo’s dedication to francophone values and emphasized that Kosovo is currently an associate member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie, hence the full rights membership within the International Organization of the Francophonie is not only a key priority, but also an essential step in strengthening of democracy and human rights, as common values of francophone countries President Osmani informed the delegation on the advancement of the agenda for Women, Peace and Security, stressing that Kosovo has already become a positive example at the global level. In this spirit, President Osmani emphasized that through raising of the status of Kosovo in the ONF, the cooperation with other member states in sustainable development, the promotion of cultural and linguistic diversity, education and scientific research, as well as in the fields others of mutual interest will only intensify.
President Osmani at the meeting with the heads of the Institute for Crimes Committed during the War: The investigation of war crimes, crimes against humanity, genocide, torture and other crimes of importance in documenting the truth and for justice

The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani met today with the executive director of the Institute for War Crimes, Atdhe Hetemi. According to President Osmani, the investigation of crimes committed during wartime, such as war crimes, crimes against humanity, genocide, torture and other crimes, is extremely important to be documented, archived and to ensure that the truth is protected in order to bring justice, as well as to be preserved in service to future generations. “The work of the Institute is an engagement of historic importance for us as a nation and as a state”, emphasized President Osmani and underlined the necessity of close cooperation between ICCK and local and international institutions. At meeting, the ICCK executive director presented to President Osmani the Institute’s Annual Report, with Madam President reiterating the Presidency’s steadfast support to the War Crimes Institute.

Honorable Prime Minister of the Republic, Mr. Kurti, Honourable KSF Commander, Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari, Honorable Minister of Defense, Ejup Macedonci, Honourable officers, non-commissioned officers and KSF soldiers Distinguished diplomats and soldiers of amicable countries, Honourable participants, We are back among you once again, in the 2nd Infantry Regiment of the Ground Forces exercise zone, to express our highest gratitude and appreciation for your very impressive exercise, which filled us with excitement, motivation, energy and strength, and show you today that we are all very proud of you! Honourable Military members of our Army, The “Steel Wolf” field exercise is more than a test of agility, a demonstration of the endurance, courage and of the spirit of our army, which never backs down, despite the challenges. Through offensive maneuvers, defensive fortifications and stability operations, you demonstrated today your dedication and readiness for the defense of Kosovo’s territory in its every inch. The “Steel Wolf” personifies the sharp instinct and indomitable courage of each of you during this exercise. You embody this spirit as your exercise today reflects the most complex challenges on the battlefield. With offensive operations during this exercise, you demonstrated the agility and courage required to overcome any threat. With your defensive operations, you showed that in the face of any danger, you do not waver, but rather stand strong and united. Through stability operations, you remind us all that true strength is not only in battle, but also in trust building. These capabilities are vital not only for the security of our country, but also for the security and stability of global alliances. Every exercise you do, every strategic decision you make, and every team effort you coordinate and strengthen partnerships with our allies, you prepare to defend our shared values – freedom, democracy and peace. Let the “Steel Wolf” be a reminder that we do not only train for today’s confrontations, but also prepare for tomorrow’s challenges. You are being trained and validated to be ready whenever the need arises to serve your country. Honourable members of the military forces, Today, with your demonstration, you strongly proved that the independence, territorial integrity and state sovereignty of our Republic are protected by its Army, with its operational skills and capacities and in full interoperability with the allied forces. Today, you once again strongly demonstrated that we have built and are developing our Army with professional operational skills and capacities, according to the highest standards of the NATO countries, and you strongly confirmed that we are ready to effectively participate in multinational joint military operations as well, in function of regional and global peace, security and stability. This will and dedication will intensify even more in our preparations for the upcoming “Defender-Europe 25” exercises. In today’s field exercise, you marched forward with confidence, you trained in high spirits, today’s training forges tomorrow’s . President Osmani received in a meeting the Rector of the University of Prishtina, Dr. Arben Hajrullahu

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received in a meeting the Rector of the University of Prishtina, Dr. Arben Hajrullahu, whom she congratulated on taking the position as head of the University of Prishtina. During the meeting, the President was informed in detail of the challenges faced by UP. The Brigadier General Dr. Sefer Isufi, the military advisor to President Vjosa Osmani, attended on her behalf the annual Remembrance Day ceremony, organized by the British Embassy in Prishtina, alongside other local and international dignitaries.
