The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani met today with the executive director of the Institute for War Crimes, Atdhe Hetemi.
According to President Osmani, the investigation of crimes committed during wartime, such as war crimes, crimes against humanity, genocide, torture and other crimes, is extremely important to be documented, archived and to ensure that the truth is protected in order to bring justice, as well as to be preserved in service to future generations.
“The work of the Institute is an engagement of historic importance for us as a nation and as a state”, emphasized President Osmani and underlined the necessity of close cooperation between ICCK and local and international institutions.
At meeting, the ICCK executive director presented to President Osmani the Institute’s Annual Report, with Madam President reiterating the Presidency’s steadfast support to the War Crimes Institute.
