President Osmani strongly condemns the physical and verbal violence exercised against the young footballer, Belgin Jashari: This is an unacceptable and intolerable act in our society

Full reaction by the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani: Sport, a bridge that connects people, not a wall that separates them! Violence and discrimination in sports are a direct attack on our most precious values: respect, equality and human dignity. I strongly condemn the physical and verbal violence exercised against the young footballer, Belgin Jashari. This is an unacceptable and intolerable act in our society. Every young person should feel safe, respected and equal, regardless of their background or identity. Such acts cannot and should not remain without liability. Relevant institutions must carry out all the necessary measures to investigate the case and punish those involved through violence and insults. Kosovo is a free and democratic country. Violence and hatred will have no place on our sports fields, nor in our society. No one can be above the law when they violate the dignity and safety of our young people. Belgin, you are part of our present and future! Kosovo is proud of you!
