Today I laid a wraith to remember a criminal act against a group of young Kosovars in the village of Gorazhdec, fourteen years ago, that took the lives of two youngsters and left four others wounded.

The right to life is a fundamental right for all.

The same goes for almost 400 ethnic Albanian youngsters, under the age of fifteen, who were killed by the Serbian state during the war.

These kids killed here in Gorazhdevac were killed by a criminal hand and not by the state.

These kids were killed and injured while playing. I pledge that there will be no power and no criminal hand that will kill the future, the play and the joy of Kosovo’s children.

NEVER!

Therefore, today I PRAY and once more I express my compassion and sympathy for all the victims, during and after the war, of all communities.

We remain determined to bring to justice everyone who committed a crime.

A crime is a crime, regardless against whom it was directed and regardless who committed it.

Also, once again we insist that the fate of all missing persons, whether Albanian, Serb or Roma or any other community, is brought to light.

We all have responsibility toward this.

We have responsibilities towards their families and towards our children’s future.

We need to help each other.

Today, as we are working to build peace, reconciliation and cooperation between the peoples in our region, it is important to emphasize that for honest reconciliation we need justice first.

Reconciliation among Albanians and Serbs is possible and it will happen.

This means peace for the whole region.
