The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, in continuation to her visits to the municipalities, visited Mamusha today.
At a meeting with the mayor Adbdülhadi Krasniç, President Osmani was informed about the developments in this municipality, development opportunities and challenges, with special emphasis on the lack of drinking water. She thanked the citizens of this municipality who are an example of integration and coexistence in the Republic of Kosovo.
While answering media questions about the strike in the education sector, President Osmani reiterated the immediate need to commence with the scholling process.
“…I call on all teachers to open the doors of the schools so as not to deny our students, our most precious ones, the constitutional right to education,” said President Osmani.
During her stay in Mamushë, President Osmani also visited the Centre for the Empowerment of Women, where women of this municipality attend courses on the craft of tailoring and embroidery.
“The economic independence of women is the main impetus for the development of society, but also of the state in general”, emphasized President Osmani, appreciating the efforts of the women of this municipality.
During this visit, President Osmani also visited the “Birlik,” bag production factory, a success story of a family business, where most of the employees are women.
President Osmani concluded her visit to Mamushë with a visit to Selajdin Mazrek's greenhouse. She appreciated his valuable work in a challenging time not only for farmers, who were hit by the chain price increase.
