President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani Sadriu received today at a meeting the regional director of the National Democratic Institute (NDI) for Central and Eastern Europe, Robert Benjamin.
President Osmani and Mr. Benjamin discussed the current NDI activities and projects in Kosovo as well as future cooperation in strengthening the democratic development of Kosovo, namely the advancement of the gender equality agenda in politics and beyond, the fight against disinformation and propaganda, as well as strengthening of the rule of law as an essential part of democracy.
President Osmani also spoke in relation to the Forum for Women, Peace and Security, which will be held in Kosovo on October 22-23rd, 2022. This forum is one of the pledges made at the Summit for Democracy and through this edition the legacy of Kosovo's dear friend former US Secretary of State, Madeleine Albright shall be honoured.
