The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani Sadriu, met in San Jose with the new President of the Republic of Costa Rica, Mr. Rodrigo Chaves.
President Osmani conveyed her best wishes to President Chaves in taking on the responsibilities of his new tenure, in leading the benevolent and peace-loving people of Costa Rica to a prosperous and secure future.
President Osmani and President Chaves agreed to further expand bilateral relations between our two countries, including cooperation in foreign policy and increasing economic and trade exchanges. President Osmani briefed President Chaves on Kosovo's progress in various fields as well as on preparations for applications in international organizations.
“The people of Kosovo are always grateful to Costa Rica as one of the first countries to recognize our independence, exactly on the day when the Republic of Kosovo began its new chapter as an independent and sovereign state,” said President Osmani.
