President Osmani is received with the highest state honours by President Pahor: Endless gratitude for Slovenia's support to Kosovo's European future

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu, accompanied by the first gentleman Mr. Prindon Sadriu and the delegation was received with the highest state honours by President Borut Pahor and the first lady, Mrs. Tanja Pečar.

At the tête-à-tête meeting with President Pahor and in the meetings with the delegations, President Osmani emphasized that the close relations between the nations of Kosovo and Slovenia date back to the years before the war and have developed rapidly in the years that followed.

According to President Osmani, interstate relations with Slovenia will be deepened and intensified continuously in the future.

“Kosovo and Slovenia share the same vision for peace and prosperity in the region based on Euro-Atlantic values. Membership in the EU and NATO are the main guarantee for peace in our region. Infinitely grateful for Slovenia's support to our European future, inclusive of support for visa liberalization as well as for Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe”, said President Osmani, in meetings with his counterpart Pahor.

According to President Osmani, there is mutual readiness to work on opening new chapters of cooperation in the economic, defense and diplomatic fields, as well as in many other fields.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Tanja Fajon, who is a staunch supporter of Kosovo, was also in attendance of the meeting of the two delegations.
