On behalf of the people of the Republic of Kosovo, I extend my warmest congratulations to you and the American people as you celebrate the Fourth of July. We join you and friends of the United States around the world in celebrating this joyous day.
While many things have changed in the course of history, the unwavering resolve and spirit of the Founding Fathers to steer the United States to become the greatest democratic, economic and military power of the world has remained present throughout. It is why the United States continues to be a beacon of hope and the staunchest defender of our shared ideals of democracy and freedom.
At this pivotal time for our world and for our hard-earned ideals, we value your principled approach and your steadfast support for unity and security in Europe, as our continent faces one of the biggest and most devastating challenges of our time.
The home of the free and brave is today a global defender of peace and freedom, and a place of hope and comfort for people across the world who believe in the same vision for the future. We look up to you and stand ready to support you in defending the values we and our people believe in.
The bond between our two nations has been forged through some of our most challenging days and strengthened through our best days. Over the last few decades, our countries have not only grown stronger, we have grown together. In particular, the people of the Republic of Kosovo are grateful for your personal and consistent support, and we continue to count on you as we move ahead on our firm path towards integration in Euro-Atlantic and other international structures that promote our shared vision and goals.
Today, the people of Kosovo celebrate alongside our American friends and allies and our flags proudly wave side by side. May I again offer our best wishes for this special day and wish you and the people of the United States of America, a Happy Fourth of July.
