The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, decreed today 20 judges with an initial mandate, based on the proposal of the Kosovo Judicial Council. Of the decreed judges, 12 are women and 8 are men.
During the oath-swearing ceremony in front of President Osmani, the new judges pledged to remain loyal to the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Kosovo, to respect professional ethics and to perform their duties with integrity, professionalism and impartiality.
President Osmani emphasized that building a successful and democratic state is only possible through an independent and functional justice system.
She also noted that the integrity and professionalism of judges are the main pillars for guaranteeing equality before the law and for strengthening citizens’ trust in justice institutions.
