The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, on the 24th anniversary of the fall, commemorated the hero Ilir Konushevci and the doctor from Tropoja, martyr Hazir Malaj.
“Freedom and Ilir are one. Consistency in the fight for freedom was Ilir's virtue. Idealism made him not abandon the struggle for the freedom of the country until the end of his life, becoming the hero of Kosovo. Today we respectfully remember the figure of the on of the firsts of the KLA, who along with comrades like Hazir Malaj, made the goal of generations for freedom and state a reality. “Justice is needed for Ilir and Hazir, while the memory of them will be eternal,” emphasized President Osmani.
