President Osmani awarded Presidential Medals on the 15th anniversary of the independence (Part I)

In honour of the 15th anniversary of Kosovo’s independence, the President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani Sadriu has awarded Presidential Medals to personalities from the sphere of culture, sports, security and personalities who have sacrificed for the freedom of Kosovo.

Below is the first list of the awardees:

– Captain Besart Ahmeti, head of the Special Operative Unit for the Prishtina Region, is awarded the Presidential Security Medal, with the motivation for the contribution made to the protection of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Kosovo, direct engagement in the fight against organized crime and all types of illegal activity aimed at the undermining of security in the Republic of Kosovo.

– Captain Fatmir Balaj, head of the Special Operative Unit for the Region of Mitrovica, is awarded the Presidential Security Medal, with the motivation for the contribution made to the protection of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Kosovo, direct engagement in the fight against organized crime and all types of illegal activity aimed at the undermining of security in the Republic of Kosovo

– Lieutenant Adem Ribari, chief of operations of the Special Intervention Unit, is awarded the Presidential Security Medal, with the motivation for the contribution made to the protection of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Kosovo, direct engagement in the fight against organized crime and all types of illegal activity aimed at the undermining of security in the Republic of Kosovo.

– The Special Intervention Unit was awarded the Presidential Security Medal, with the motivation for the contribution made to the protection of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Kosovo, direct engagement in the fight against organized crime and all types of illegal activity aimed at the undermining of security in the Republic of Kosovo. Police officer Zyhra Zeqiri received the medal on behalf of the directorate.

– The Special Operative Unit is awarded the Presidential Security Medal, with the motivation for the contribution made to the protection of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Kosovo, direct engagement in the fight against organized crime and all types of illegal activity aimed at the undermining of security in the Republic of Kosovo. Captain Besart Ahmeti received the medal on behalf of the unit.

– Hajriz Sejdiu, Director of the Department of Preparedness (Emergency Management Agency), has been awarded the Presidential Security Medal, with the motivation for the contribution made to the protection of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Kosovo, direct engagement in the fight against crime organized and any type of illegal activity aimed at the undermining of security in the Republic of Kosovo.

– The rapid response unit is awarded the Presidential Security Medal, with the motivation for the contribution made to the protection of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Kosovo, the direct engagement in the fight against organized crime and any type of illegal activity that at the undermining of security in the Republic of Kosovo. Police officer Lirije Lipaj received the medal on behalf of the unit.

– Sergeant Fatmire Ulaj, the first generation of the Kosovo Police, is awarded the Presidential Security Medal, with the motivation for outstanding contribution to public security and dedication to the homeland.

– Daut Berisha, an Albanian painter in Paris, is awarded the Presidential Medal of Merit – post-mortem, with the motivation for high achievement in artistic creativity and the promotion of cultural values.

– Anton Pashku, writer and prose writer, is awarded the Presidential Medal of Merit – post mortem, with the motivation for peak values in modern Albanian prose and outstanding contribution to Albanian culture.

– Arif Bozaxhi, a writer of Turkish ethnicity and known activist for the freedom of Kosovo, is awarded the Hasan Prishtina Order, with the motivation for literary creativity and promotion of Kosovo’s cultural diversity.

– Ramadan Musliu, among the prominent writers of Kosovo, is awarded the Presidential Medal of Merit – Post mortem, with the motivation for special contribution to the field of literature, arts and to the promotion of Albanian culture in Kosovo.

– Ymer Elshani, writer, is awarded the Presidential Medal of Merit – Post mortem, with the motivation for high achievements in children’s literature and promotion of creativity in Kosovo.

– Shyqri Nimani, designer, professor, and calligrapher of the Declaration of Independence, is awarded the Presidential Medal of Merit with the motivation for designing the Declaration of Independence and special contribution to the field of arts.

– The Kosovo National Ballet is awarded the Presidential Medal of Merit with the motivation for special contribution to the field of culture and nurturing and affirmation of the highest artistic values.

– The National Theater of Kosovo is awarded the Presidential Medal of Merit, with the motivation for special contribution to the field of culture and promotion of the highest theatrical values. The medal was received by Visare Aliu – KD chair.

– The National Gallery of Kosovo is awarded the Presidential Medal of Merit with the motivation for a special contribution to the field of culture and promotion of the highest artistic values in the visual arts. The medal was received by Renea Behluli – KD chair.

– The National Song and Dance Ensemble is awarded the Presidential Medal of Merit with the motivation for special contribution to the field of culture and nurturing and affirmation of traditional cultural values.

– The Kosovo Philharmonic is awarded the Presidential Medal of Merit with the motivation for special contribution to the field of culture and promotion of the highest values of classical music.

– The “Pjeter Bogdani” National Library of Kosovo is awarded the Presidential Medal of Merit with the motivation for special contribution to the field of culture and the promotion of librarian activities.
