We have gathered here today, all of Us – Citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, together with our friends, in this celebration of the end of harvest, to show our joy for the goods given to us by God, in this fertile land of ours.

Honourable representatives of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo,
Honourable President Sejdiu,
Honourable Academics,
Honourable Ambassadors and representatives of the diplomatic missions in Kosovo,
Honourable KFOR Commander Farina,
Honourable KSF Commander Kastrati,
Honourable Members of Parliament,
Honourable Participants;
We have gathered here today, all of Us – Citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, together with our friends, in this celebration of the end of harvest, to show our joy for the goods given to us by God, in this fertile land of ours.
Thanksgiving Day is our traditional feast, as ancient as the Illyric Dardanians, which has brought together all the people of Kosovo, together with each other and their future.
This is a day that brings us all around our rich table, when we get together with our most beloved ones, after the accomplishment of the seasonal tasks. This is also a day when we must lend our helping hand to our neighbours and all those who need us.
Let us on express our thankfulness on this day for the security and progress of our country. Let us be thankful for our rich land and for the goods it provides to us. Let us be thankful of our freedoms, for which we have sacrificed so much and for the health of all of our citizens.
Let us be led on this Thanksgiving Day by the heritage left to us by those who sacrificed for our present wellbeing, through making Kosovo a land of great opportunities. Let us be led on this day of our traditional holiday by the belief that peace is built through understanding and mutual respect, and where our sustainability depends upon US- the loyal citizens of this country who want to enjoy their future.
Let us work harder today, with a greater trust upon ourselves and with love for our country, all united as one, to make Kosovo an indivisible part of the advanced world and a dignified enough place to live in.
Let this Thanksgiving Day be a day of our unification as citizens, day of strengthening of ties with the family, as a source of our strength, a day of belief in our strength for a new, prosperous year.
Therefore, let us pray to God for more prosperity
And for the protection of the Land of Kosovo,
