President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, has conveyed her Christmas wishes to the Monsignor Dodë Gjergji, Bishop of Kosovo Diocese as well as to the whole Christian community.
President’s felicitatory note states:
Honourable Bishop, Honourable believers,
On the occasion of Christmas, which symbolises highest values of solidarity, harmony, of love and peace among people, I convey to you and to the followers of Christian faith, my best wishes.
Let us pass this holy day with peace and harmony in our families, with all the goods bestowed to us by God.
This Christmas finds our country, Republic of Kosovo, with a large number of achievements on various fields, with a dedication for increase of wellbeing of our citizens regardless of their ethnicity and faith, economic development of the country and clear Euro-Atlantic integration aspirations.
On this journey we face many challenges and difficulties. Let us overcome them together, with an aim for a better future for all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo.
On this day, let us think of all the people around us who are in need of our help and our solidarity. Let us share with them the moments of holiday, in order to make the holiday and life a little bit easier and nicer for them.
Also, let us remember those who are no longer among us. Those who gave and did so much for us and our country.
On this Christmas Day, I convey my congratulations to all the leaders and members of international missions in our country, Ambassadors and diplomatic representatives and all other international representatives, who are celebrating this holiday in our country.
I convey to you my best wishes for Christmas. I pray that on this day, as well as in any other day, peace, harmony and abundance rein in all you families.
