President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, visited today the SOS Children’s Village in Prishtina and spent few moments with the children and the leaders of this institution.
President Jahjaga during this visit was also briefed on functioning and problems which this institution if faced with.
Continuing the tradition of support for the SOS Children’s Village in Prishtina, President Jahjaga delivered New Year’s gift packages to the children of this institution, and expresses her appreciation to the staff for their untiring engagements and for the care they show to the children under the care of this institution,
President Jahjaga also visited today the Down Syndrome Kosovo organisation, where she met with the leaders and children of different ages, touched by this syndrome.
Madam President expressed her appreciation to the leaders of this organisation and offered full institutional support for their engagements towards realization of rights of children touched by Down syndrome.
President Jahjaga on this occasion handed out the New Year Gift packages to the children touched by Down Syndrome.
