President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, received today at a farewell meeting, the UN Development Programme Coordinator and at the same time the Head of the UNDP, Ms. Osnat Lubrani, and her successor, Mr. Andrew Russell
President Jahjaga thanked Ms. Lubrani for the contribution which UNDP has provided to the strengthening of the democratic functionality of the institutions of Kosovo and for their continuous support for the capacity raising and advancement of the projects related to gender issues.
President Jahjaga wished a warm welcome to the new UN development programme coordinator and at the same time the new UNDP Head, Mr. Andrew Russell, and expressed the readiness of the institutions of Kosovo to continue and expand the bilateral cooperation.
The UN Development Programme Coordinator, Ms. Osnat Lubrani, said that UNDP has adjusted the projects in congruence with the priorities of the institutions of Kosovo. She also added that UNDP and UNKT aim to, through projects, bring Kosovo as close as possible to the UN institutions.
