President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, met today with leaders of the political parties of ethnic communities to discuss the issue of forming of the institutions of the country.
President Jahjaga, within her constitutional competencies, as a guarantor of the democratic functioning of the institutions and as the unifying factor of the nation, at meetings with leaders of the parliamentary political parties of ethnic communities, pointed out that constitution of the institutions of the country is a necessity in order to move ahead the processes which the country is going through.
She also said that Member of the Kosovo Parliament have the responsibility for the resolution of issues within the Parliament of Kosovo, based on the Constitution and the laws of the country and in respect of the decisions of the Constitutional Court. Madam President added that ethnic communities are a constitutive part of the institutions of Kosovo and their constructive role is required for stable institutions.
