President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, as part of her Constitutional and Legal prerogatives, held today consultative meetings with the representatives of some of the political parties represented at the Parliament of Kosovo.
President Jahjaga discussed the issue of local elections and legal time frame allowance with the representatives of the parliamentary political parties.
Representatives of the political parties expressed their viewpoints in relation to the municipal elections and stressed the necessity of adherence to the time limits prescribed by law.
The first consultative meeting Madam President held with the DLK’s Secretary General, Mr. Ismet Beqiri, followed by DPK’s Secretary General, Mr. Basri Musmurati, and continued with ANK’s Vice Chairman, Mr. Ibrahim Makolli, AFK’s Chairman, Mr. Ramush Haradinaj, Vice Chairman of the Justice Party, Mr. Jeton Svirca, Chairman of the Democratic Turkish Party of Kosovo, Mr. Mahir Yagcilar and Chairman of the Serbian Liberal Party, Mr. Slobodan Petrovic.
Today’s consultative meeting are just the first round of a number of meetings that President Jahjaga aims to hold, including meetings with other political subjects in Kosovo, in relation to the municipal elections.
