President Osmani congratulates July 4th, the Independence Day of the United States of America
The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, congratulated July 4th, the Independence Day of the United States of America. “From the most pro-American nation on Earth: Happy July 4th, the Independence Day of the United States of America!”, wrote President Osmani.
President Osmani held consultative meetings with leaders of the following political parties: Guxo, Alternativa, ZSP, KDTP, IRDK, SDS, JGS, PREBK, NDS and the VAKAT Coalition
The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, within the framework of the new cycle of consultations regarding the constitution of the Assembly, in light of the Constitutional Court’s Adjudication in case No. KO124/25, held consultative meetings today with leaders of the following political parties: Guxo, Alternativa, ZSP, KDTP, IRDK, SDS, JGS, PREBK, NDS and the VAKAT Coalition. President Osmani re-emphasized that the implementation of the Constitutional Court Judgment is a constitutional obligation and this adjudication has clarified that the constitution of the Assembly within 30 days is an obligation and not an option. Furthermore, President Osmani reiterated her call to leaders to find a way out for the constitution of the Assembly in the spirit of cooperation and trust, as well as for the benefit of the civic and state interest, as soon as possible, and within the deadline set by the Constitutional Court. President Osmani underlined that the lack of a legislature is creating an institutional vacuum that is causing the erosion of democracy and harming the functioning of the state. In her role as guarantor of the constitutional functioning and representative of the unity of the people in the Republic of Kosovo, President Osmani will continue with consultative meetings with other parties represented in the parliament in the coming days.
President Osmani received the letters of credence of the new Ambassador of Thailand, Mr. Phrommes Bhaholpolbhayuhasena
The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received today the credentials of the new non-resident Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Phrommes Bhaholpolbhayuhasena. During the meeting, President Osmani welcomed Ambassador Bhaholpolbhayuhasena and emphasized the importance of further strengthening of the friendly relations between the two countries. She highly praised the cooperation between Kosovo and Thailand, describing it as a relationship built on shared values. Ambassador Bhaholpolbhayuhasena expressed his readiness to work towards deepening cooperation between the two countries, while congratulating President Osmani on organizing this year’s International Forum on Women, Peace and Security, which was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, Lalivan Karnchanachari. At the meeting, the President recalled her visit to Thailand in 2022, marking the tenth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, as a key moment in deepening the partnership between the two countries. She emphasized that Thailand’s decision to lift visa requirements for Kosovo citizens represents a significant step towards enhancing economic and cultural exchanges between our countries, businesses, and people. In conclusion, President Osmani reaffirmed the readiness of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo to further advance bilateral relations with the Kingdom of Thailand, in the spirit of partnership and mutual respect.
