President Osmani’s Reaction

The grievous and shocking event of the loss of life of a 27-year-old young man, upon which there are serious doubts that it occurred during a police intervention, requires utmost transparency, institutional responsibility and uncompromising justice. All circumstances of this case must be investigated immediately, independently, and professionally. Any official who may have violated the law or exceeded their powers must be brought to justice without delay. No one is above the law.
President Osmani received the Ambassador of France to Kosovo, Mr. Olivier Guerot

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received today the Ambassador of the Republic of France to Kosovo, Mr. Olivier Guerot, with whom she discussed the latest political developments in the country and the region, as well as bilateral relations between Kosovo and France. President Osmani and Ambassador Guerot also discussed the consultations that Madam President has held with political entities in order to implement the latest decision of the Constitutional Court. She reiterated that respecting the constitutional and democratic order is essential for the institutional stability and international credibility of the Republic of Kosovo. The further advancement of bilateral relations between Kosovo and France, including the expansion of cooperation in various fields of common interest, as well as the importance of France’s support to Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic path, were also points discussed at the meeting.
Madam President commemorates the Battle of Loxha: Loxha was more than a battlefield, a symbol of resistance and unity to never return to captivity

Today, on the 27th anniversary of the Battle of Loxha, we commemorate one of the most glorious confrontations of our fight for freedom. Faced with a ruthless enemy, the KLA fighters proved that the will for freedom is stronger than any war machine. Loxha was more than a battlefield, a symbol of resistance and unity to never return to captivity. From there, the call for freedom spread throughout Kosovo. Today, as a free and democratic state, we have a duty to preserve the memory of the fallen and to protect the values for which they sacrificed. Freedom is their legacy! We bow with respect to the martyrs of the Battle of Loxha and all the martyrs of the KLA. Eternal glory!
President Osmani received British MPs Martin Vickers and Paul Foster yesterday

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received yesterday the UK Parliament MP’s Mr. Martin Vickers and Mr. Paul Foster, both representatives of the Kosovo friendship groups at the British Parliament. The excellent relations between Kosovo and the United Kingdom, as well as concrete ways to further deepen interstate cooperation, especially in economic and defense partnerships, strengthening Kosovo’s international position and advancing the country’s Euro-Atlantic objectives were discussed at the meeting. President Osmani thanked MPs Vickers and Foster for their unwavering commitment to supporting the Republic of Kosovo and stressed the importance of further strengthening the partnership between the two countries. MP Martin Vickers, who is the Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Kosovo and Albania, and MP Paul Foster, Executive Vice-Chair of Labour Friends of Kosovo, reaffirmed their strong support for the people and state of Kosovo.
President Osmani received yesterday a delegation of the Association for the Protection of Patients’ Rights

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received yesterday representatives of the Association for the Protection of Patients’ Rights, with whom she discussed the current challenges in the health system and the need to strengthen patients’ rights in our country. During the meeting, President Osmani emphasized the importance of raising public awareness on patients’ rights, as well as the need to improve access to qualitative, transparent and equal health services for all citizens. Furthermore, President Osmani reiterated her commitment to a health system that places the patient at the center of attention and guarantees dignified treatment to every citizen, without distinction. According to President Osmani, the protection of patients’ rights is an important indicator of the democratic and ethical functioning of the state.
