Donika Kadaj Bujupi is appointed as advisor to President Osmani
The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani has appointed today Mrs. Donika Kadaj Bujupi as an advisor in the Presidential Cabinet. Ms. Kadaj Bujupi has a long parliamentary experience as a member of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo during five service mandates as an MP, where she served on various committees including the ones of foreign policy, European integration and education. Throughout her professional experience, Mrs. Kadaj Bujupi has worked with various local and international organizations, where she was continuously engaged in issues of human rights, gender equality, environment and education. At the Presidency, Mrs. Kadaj Bujupi will engage among other things, in the fields of public communication and international relations. President Osmani welcomed Ms. Kadaj Bujupi and emphasized that her long professional experience will contribute even more to the achievement of the objectives of the Presidential Cabinet and to the further advancement of the activities of the Presidency.
The Presidency and the Assembly lit up in blue on World Autism Day
The buildings of the Presidency and of the Assembly have been symbolically lit up in blue, as a sign of solidarity with people with autism and in order to raise awareness about autism on all levels of society.

The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani during her stay in Vienna, spoke about the importance of education in building the future both for individuals and for society and the state, in front of thousands of participants from 380 universities and 89 countries of the world. The Competition for International Commercial Law and Arbitration Law (Willem C. Vis International Arbitration Moot Court) is the largest law competition in the world which annually brings together thousands of legal professionals, professors, arbitrators, judges and students, a competition that BBC qualified as the “Olympic Games of Law”. President Osmani emphasized that Kosovar students have excelled in this competition for years, bringing the University of Prishtina some of the most important awards in its history.

The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani commemorated the 24th anniversary of the Massacre committed at the house of the Vejsa family. 24 years ago, the Vejsa, Caka, Haxhiavdija, Nuqi, Hoxha and Gashi families, sheltered in the basement of the Vejsa family, experienced the brutality of the Serbian genocidal regime which brutally killed and then burned 20 women, children and a man. Justice for the victims and eternal memory for them!

24 years ago, the forces of the Serbian genocidal regime barbarically killed 80 civilians of Lubeniq, including children from 18 months to 17 years old. The brutality of the Serbian criminal regime was also manifested against a pregnant woman. Justice for the victims and eternal remembrance for them!

The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani at the invitation of the ambassador of the United States of America to the OSCE Michael Carpenter, met with the QUINT and the EU representatives at the OSCE. “We discussed recent developments related to the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Kosovo’s successes in strengthening democracy as well as our joint efforts for lasting peace and security in our continent,” wrote President Osmani.

The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani has commemorated the 24th anniversary of the massacres in Pastasela in Rahovec and Burim in Malisheva. “Today we remember the massacre carried out by the forces of the Serbian genocidal regime in Pastasela, Rahovec, where 106 residents of this village and surrounding villages were killed and massacred. On the same day in Burim, Malishevë, 42 civilians were killed and massacred. The pain continues to be as great as on the very day of their murder, and the memory for them remains eternal. Justice for the victims of the Serbian regime and bringing to light the fate of the forcibly disappeared are our permanent demands which we will never give up calling for”.

In the plenary session, President Osmani spoke alongside world leaders such as the president of France Emmanuel Macron, the prime minister of the United Kingdom Rishi Sunak, the chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz, the prime minister of Sweden Ulf Kristersson, the prime minister of Iceland Katrín Jakobsdóttir, the president of Colombia Gustavo Petro as well as heads of state and government from Zambia and the Bahamas.
