The discussions focused on the expansion of bilateral relations, current developments in Kosovo and the Western Balkans, as well as on the advancement of Kosovo’s integration in international organizations. President Osmani expressed her deep praise for Germany’s support to Kosovo in the process of liberation and state building, as well as in its Euro-Atlantic path. “Kosovo and Germany have a strong and stable partnership based on the common values of democracy, peace and progress. Germany is a strategic ally in Kosovo’s journey towards empowerment and international integration, and we expect to strengthen this partnership even further during the coming years” emphasized President Osmani. President Osmani has described the Berlin process as a powerful impetus for the European perspective of the Western Balkans. In this context, President Osmani has reiterated her full support for the agreements stemming from this process. At the meeting with President Steinmeier, President Osmani also pointed out the role and contribution of the Albanian diaspora in Germany, which is a powerful bridge for the relations between the two countries. The two presidents also discussed the potential for expansion of cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
