President Osmani met with the St. Kitts and Nevis Foreign Affairs Minister Denzil L. Douglas
The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, during her working visit to Germany, met with the Foreign Affairs Minister of the Saint Kitts and Nevis, Denzil L. Douglas. At the meeting with Minister Douglas, President Vjosa Osmani expressed her gratitude for the support given to Kosovo by the state of Saint Kitts and Nevis, and potentiated the importance of continuation of the support on strengthening of Kosovo’s international position and securing new recognitions. President Osmani emphasized Kosovo’s interest in the expansion of bilateral relations with St. Kitts and Nevis, in areas of mutual interest.
President Osmani met the chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the German Bundestag Michael Roth
The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, who is currently on a working visit to Germany, met with the chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the German Bundestag, Michael Roth. The latest political and security developments in Kosovo and beyond were discussed at the meeting. President Osmani expressed her gratitude for the continuous support of MP Roth and in general of the German Bundestag for Kosovo’s aspirations to join international organizations and emphasized the importance of the role of the German state in this process. “Germany has been a traditional ally of the people of Kosovo and we greatly appreciate this support in our efforts to strengthen our international presence and partnership” emphasized President Osmani. President Osmani and Mr. Roth also discussed the Berlin Process, with President Osmani reiterating her full support of the agreements resulting from this process. Part of the discussions during the meeting was also focused on the dialogue process with Serbia.

The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, during her working visit to Germany, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Annalena Baerbock. At the meeting, President Osmani emphasized that Germany is a strategic partner in political, security and economic terms and that Kosovo is grateful for its continuous support. President Osmani requested the continuation of German support for Kosovo’s membership in the Council of Europe, NATO, the EU and other international organizations. The current political and security situation were also topics of discussion between President Osmani and Minister Baerbock. President Osmani emphasized that the goal of Kosovo’s institutions is the integration of Serbs into society and institutions, but this is being hindered by Serbia and its president. In this context, Madam President pointed out that in the dialogue process with Serbia, Kosovo has shown commitment to address the issues that are in the interest of the citizens and regional peace and stability. President Osmani stated that Kosovo has accepted the basic agreement and the Ohrid annex proposed by the European Union and supported by the USA, and hence the agreement must be implemented in its entirety. The good relations between the two countries were once again reconfirmed at the meeting and the possibilities for the further expansion of bilateral relations were discussed, including the joint engagements to the fulfilment of the green agenda. According to President Osmani, relations between Kosovo and Germany are strengthened even more by the considerable number of Kosovo diaspora, who have successfully integrated into German society.

Led by rector Ejup Statovci, the protest served as an early warning for subsequent developments, which culminated with the liberation war and the independence of Kosovo. October 1st 1997, is a symbol of the resilience of the people of Kosovo and a reminder that the struggle for freedom and independence was long, arduous, but triumphant.
First gentleman Mr. Prindon Sadriu, with numerous activities during the United Nations high-level week in New York
The First Gentleman, Mr. Prindon Sadriu, who was part of the official delegation of the Republic of Kosovo, participated in numerous events organized during the United Nations high-level week in New York, USA. On the first day of his stay in the USA, the First Gentleman Mr. Sadriu accompanied President Osmani on a visit to one of the most prestigious military academies in the world, West Point. Besides being welcomed by the US Army, they had the opportunity to meet up close with Lieutenant General Gillard and to visit the academy where many soldiers prepare for military life, and within which a number of young boys and girls from Kosovo have also obtained their education from. In continuation of the visit, Mr. Sadriu, upon an invitation by the First Lady of the USA Mrs. Jill Biden, participated at the lunch laid exclusively for the First Gentlemen who were present at the UN high-level week. During his conversation with First Lady Biden, Mr. Sadriu reiterated his gratitude for the contribution of the Biden family to Kosovo. Accompanying President Osmani, the same message was transmitted to President Biden during the reception ceremony organized by him. At this ceremony, the First Gentleman Mr. Sadriu met with many First Gentlemen of recognising and non-recognising countries, with whom he discussed many topics of common interest. The First Gentleman also participated at the reception organized by President Clinton and Secretary Clinton, with whom he held a cordial conversation on the importance of the alliance with the USA, but also on the deep gratitude of the citizens of Kosovo for the irreplaceable contribution of theirs to the freedom of our country. Out of many receptions organized by numerous individuals and organizations, the First Gentleman participated at the annual reception of the leaders of the Atlantic Council leaders reception, where he also had the opportunity to talk to numerous personalities who are partners and allies of Kosovo. In addition, the First Gentleman Mr. Sadriu, at a special ceremony, also joined the global commitment to zero waste around the world. This initiative dates from 2017, led by First Lady Erdogan, and includes the participation of more than 30 First Gentlemen as well as leaders of international organizations. The main purpose of this commitment is to strengthen efforts to promote the efficient use of natural resources, reduce and eliminate waste generation by encouraging recycling practices and the circular economy in general. This initiative will contribute to the promotion of Kosovo’s current and future achievements in the sustainable development agenda in different parts of the world. During his stay at the United Nations high-level week, the First Gentleman was part of the activities organized by the First Ladies of Kosovo’s allied and friendly states. One such was the event organized by First Lady Erdogan, in which cultural elements inherited between generations were presented on wedding dresses and preparations related to this stage of life, which reflects unity and solidarity between family members and the social circle. In addition, the First Gentleman also participated at another event organized by the First Lady Erdogan, in which the attendees were exclusively exposed to African cuisine, which proved once again that regardless of cultures, it is important to promote diversity and inclusiveness. First Gentleman Mr. Sadriu held talks with his counterparts on various issues of common interest. Considering the great urgency to address the issue of children who live in war and conflict zones, the First Gentleman participated at the event organized by UNICEF, where the urgency to develop an effective global strategy to build efficient systems for the protection of children and the provision of services that ensure their well-being, especially for those who grow up without parental care was discussed. The First Gentleman also had the opportunity to meet with many members of our diaspora residing in the USA, with whom he discussed the challenges and opportunities for cooperation.
President Osmani departed for a working visit to Germany, meets with President Steinmeier
The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, has departed for a working visit to Germany. During this visit, Madam President will have a working meeting with the President of Germany, Frank Walter-Steinmeier. President Osmani will hold also hold separate meetings with German ministers and members of parliament. President Osmani will be a speaker at the Leaders’ Dialogue session within the Berlin Global Dialogue, discussing the topic: “Rethinking Resilience: Responding to Geopolitical Shifts with Industrial policy”. During this visit, President Osmani will also participate in the opening ceremony of the Albanian Gastronomy Festival in Berlin, where she will address the participants. President Osmani carried out the official bilateral visit to Germany upon an invitation by President Steiniger in September 2021, where she was received with military honors. Following the official bilateral visit, during this three-year period, Madam President also held a series of working meetings and phone calls with President Steinmeier, who is a strong supporter of the Euro-Atlantic future of our country.
